I find it ironic that supporters of HUH say it is "decades ago" but want to investigate what Kavanaugh did in high school.

Two points:

A. That is not a topic I immensely care about, and I thought it was a silly rabbit hole. There are far better issues to go against him on, like his actual political views and rulings.... For example his views on LGBT rights alone should be disqualifying (at least Gorshuch has some nuance in this field).

B. There is a difference between dating somebody at 29, and attempting to rape somebody as a teen. I am not saying that is what happened, but those were the allegations. If you cannot see the difference between a consensual relationship (even if for career purposes, again speculation), and attempted rape / sexual assault, well, I don't know...

A. LGBT do not get special rights for their lifestyle choices. Unless you can show he went against the Constitution in ruling he cannot be disqualified just because he did not rule in favor of the favored group of the decade.

B. Allegations mean nothing. The woman who alleged them was shown to be both not credible and partisan against him. I still think the issue was she had a thing for him back then and he did not want her so she was bitter for life. The other accusers who said they went to the "rape parties" several times, well, you can see how credible that is.

A. Yes, you are right, only deserve the right to not be discriminated against. (And, based on the most recent Supreme Court rulings, yes he had some past rulings that were no in line with it). (For the record it is now illegal to fire or not hire somebody for being gay or trans thanks to this conservative majority Supreme Court, 2019 saw massive progress for the betterment of society). Anyway, he has plenty of other views that I think are terrible that I am sure you would applaud....

Consent is a major factor when it comes to sexual encounters, and this does not seem to be something that conservatives understand. As to drugging guys, there is not enough beer in Milwaukee to get me interested in her, though I may be an outlier.

We are not talking "sex scandal" or if it was consensual. We are saying she slept her way into the job. She used sex to get favors. That should upset any woman who made it on her merits.

She was well qualified. And, worked as an assistant DA before her dating the man in question. I don't think she had to sleep her way to get anywhere.
These are just sexist attacks by people who are shocked that a woman can be educated and competent.
The fact that there is such an obsession with who she dated, proves this.

The first point is pure speculation which is disputed by "her boss".

As for VP pick, maybe her main qualification was being one of the top Democrats candidates for many months? She also shares a lot of views with Biden compared to most of the other candidates… She is a pretty moderate Democrat, very similar to Biden.... She will be a fine VP just as Biden was....

That’s what I mean! I think consistent is a good thing to be, though certainly not a prerequisite to being a human being. I wish people would either be more consistent on these things, or alternatively, at least acknowledge their inconsistencies.
