I don't get the fascination with Big Mike

Bloomberg? Who's fascinated with
the little guy. He completely
disappeared in the news.

NY Post thinks a Joe Biden/Michelle Obama ticket would be unbeatable

What did she/he ever do besides playing
semi-pro football as a linebacker,
that makes people think he/she would
make a good leader.

Someday somebody has to explain this fascination in the USA that we should vote for someone just because they were married to a pol in office. Or appoint them to finish a senate term.

I've no idea what you're talking about, I would've taken a chance on Melania after the first month of Trump in office.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

It's not just the USA. It happens all around the world.

In November 1992 when Bill Clinton was elected four women were also elected Senators.
Before that date, all female senstors except one were all related to husbands or fathers in power and most frequently a widow of a congressman or Senator. That ended with Barbara Mikulski (a 50 year old politician from Baltimore).

Term Start - Name - # of days in office (2,192-2,193 days is a standard six year term)
  1. Nov 21, 1922 Rebecca Felton 1
  2. Dec 9, 1931 Sen. Caraway 4,774
  3. Jan 31, 1936 Sen. Long 338
  4. Aug 20, 1937 Sen. Graves 143
  5. Nov 9, 1938 Sen. Pyle 55
  6. Oct 6, 1948 Sen. Bushfield 81
  7. Jan 3, 1949 Sen. Smith 8,766
  8. Apr 16, 1954 Sen. Bowring 205
  9. Nov 8, 1954 Sen. Abel 53
  10. Nov 9, 1960 Sen. Neuberger 2,246
  11. Aug 1, 1972 Sen. Edwards 104
  12. Jan 25, 1978 Sen. Humphrey 286
  13. Jun 8, 1978 Sen. Allen 152
  14. Dec 23, 1978 Sen. Kassebaum 6,586
  15. Jan 1, 1981 Sen. Hawkins 2,193
  16. Jan 3, 1987 Sen. Mikulski 10,959
  17. Sep 16, 1992 Sen. Burdick 89

What I mean is Michelle Obama has zero in terms of qualifications or experience yet liberals think she should be VP if not POTUS. Or when a Senator dies there is call to put their wife in the seat for the rest of the term. Not to mention all the jobs Hillary had handed to her with no qualification, which she then made a disaster of.

Why?
The President is a fink.

Isabel Martínez de Perón (third wife of Juan Perón) holds the distinction of having been the first woman to have had the title of "President", as opposed to a queen or prime minister. She dropped out of school after the fifth grade and in the early 1950s she became a nightclub dancer. Her husband was 36 years older than her.

Isabel Martínez de Perón
President of Argentina 1 July 1974 – 24 March 1976
Vice President of Argentina 12 October 1973 – 1 July 1974

In July 1974 military took over the government and placed her under house arrest for five years, before exiling her to Spain in 1981. She is still alive at the age of 89.

Has anybody here ever actually heard my governor wicked wittless speak for longer than 30 seconds? I did today and oh my dear God, she's absolutely awful. She has a terrible voice, and no speaking precense whatsoever. Who in their right mind would think she would make a good vice president.
