This is rehearsed and he's reading it, yet he still runs words together, gets confused, loses his place. Rather than inspiring, it feels like he's sucking the energy out of the room. I am not going to watch it because anything he says that he would do or would have done is pretty much worthless. He can say in hindsight he would have done better; how would anyone prove or disprove that? He can say what he would do moving forward, but no one really cares. He isn't doing anything because he is not in the government now. It isn't like the media is going to talk about it if he is wrong, though they may if he gets something right. He's in a tough position. The course of the virus and the actions of President in the process plus the status of the economy in a few months have way more to do with who will win the election than anything Biden can say at this point. He's just along for the ride...something that must be hard for a politician. |

I watched it twice and he really said nothing worth repeating. It was all just political nonsense delivered by a really old man who is obviously having problems. I feel sorry that he let himself get in this awful position. Then I remember he corrupt he and his son are and I don't feel sorry at all. If you take a risk, you may lose. He may be well served by the shutdown of the campaign. The issues he had seemed to do with exhaustion from being on the road; he seemed to keep a lighter schedule than most candidates or at least did not seem to appear in as many places. He can be well-rested now and possibly gain an advantage based on the virus and the impact on the economy. |
