The level of ski development in Austria is astounding compared to the resorts in the USA. The location of three winter Olympic games are very close to Munich and an easy train ride away IV 1936 Germany Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany IX 1964 Austria Innsbruck, Austria XII 1976 Austria Innsbruck, Austria Salzburg, one of the prettiest cities in the world is also an easy train trip from Munich |
