If I was the boss, I'd suspend you for trolling. Not even the most fervent Trump hater could possibly believe this. The minority (Republicans) asked to call witnesses. They were denied. It may be legal, but if you think it is fair we use a different dictionary. |

Crocodile tears. The whining about the process is a smoke screen to deflect from their inability or refusal to defend Trump's actions. The GOP complained when they held closed-door depositions, but then said the public hearings were nothing but theatrics. They were not denied all their witnesses. Volker and Morrison were both Republican witnesses. Turley was a republican witness. Witnesses that were denied were so because the Democrats aren't falling for it. They aren't going to add any legitimacy to the bulls**t debunked conspiracies. If you want to live in that world, fine. Your choice. Just don't expect us to. The Republicans are more than welcome to call all the fact witnesses they want. Mulvaney, Pompeo, Bolton, Gulliani, they are all welcome to testify. If you were reaaaaaaally concerned about fairness, YOU WOULD BE DEMANDING IT. |

So you believe with the overwhelming 'evidence' presented by the Circus, the Senate when presented with these 'facts' will have no choice but to impeach because of all the high crimes Trump committed? If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

| fleaswatter Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 5 Posts: 1762 | The following is a possible business scenario I would like you to comment on. Trump signs a 14 year contract with NY State. In this contract Trump and NY have agreed to accept binding arbitration in the event there was any disagreement with the contract. The contract says that the arbitrator’s decision is final, binding and non-appealable. A part of the contract requires Trump to pay NY 25% of certain revenue in order to obtain certain concessions from NY. NY State will then share portions of this revenue with 3 cities that Trump has businesses in. Prior to the end of the 14 year contract, Trump and NY agree to extend the contract another 7 years. Shortly after the start of the 7 year extension, Trump tells NY that he will NOT pay any revenue to NY since NY did not specifically state in the renewal that Trump will continue to pay the 25% of certain revenue. NY says that Trump still owes the 25% because they were just extending the terms of the 14 year contract which requires the payment of the 25%. During the time Trump does not pay, the cities that were expecting millions of dollars in revenue are suffering due to the lack of payments. NY attempts to negotiate with Trump for the payments but Trump continues to refuse to pay. In an effort to force Trump to pay, and as is required by the contract, NY takes Trump to binding arbitration. Trump loses in binding arbitration but still refuses to pay. In an effort to force Trump to pay, NY subsequently takes the case to a U.S District Court. Trump again loses. The Federal Court’s decision was that Trump has to pay the 25% of revenue to NY. As it currently stands, Trump still refuses to pay. Do you think that this scenario would make Trump a person with no morals or a savvy businessman? Additionally, in that business, with respect to employee benefits, Trump discriminates against employees whose race is other than his. |

There are some trolls here Tripdufan is not one of them Look at Shrek posts. Its weird but he seems to be consumed with hatred towards me. I'm definitely living in his head rent free. He's probably thinking about me right now. lol Anyway The process is fair The Dems are operating under the same exact rules the Republicans voted on and approved Losing the House has consequences Saying the process is unfair is like saying Dems cant operate under the same rules Republicans used when they had power Trump blocking witnesses testifying is Obstruction of justice. https://www.latimes.com/politics/la-na-pol-kavanaugh-obstruction-20180823-story.html I thought Benghazi was BS But I supported the investigation because congress has oversite and the right to investigate Damm straight Hillary had to testify. To not testify is obstruction of justice. That's exactly what the WH is doing, obstructing justice Impeachable according to Kavanaugh. Will you be saying the same thing during a Senate trial? When none of the witnesses that were put forth by the Democrats in the house are permitted to testify because the party in charge has decided that they have no worthwhile evidence? That McConnell can just say these are the articles of impeachment. I believe (could be wrong) that the majority decides who will be lead prosecutor, which witnesses are permitted, etc.... |

Losing the Senate has consequences Fair is fair Its just common sense. I'm not a hypocritical Trump supporter or one that excuses his impeachable actions simply because the republicans have the majority vote in the senate History will not look kindly on those that supported Trump. I want those votes on record History will lump Trump with Joe Mccarthy Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

| fleaswatter Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 5 Posts: 1762 | I have frequently read in this thread members posting about how “fair” the so-called impeachment hearings are being conducted by the democrats. I have also frequently read how the democrats are “following the rules”. Basically all I have heard is blah blah blah. According to the rules in the house: The Minority Witness Rule says that the Minority is entitled to one additional day of related hearings at which to call their own witnesses if a majority of the Minority Members make their demand before the committee hearing is gaveled closed. RULES of the HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES ONE HUNDRED SIXTEENTH CONGRESS I quote the actual rule from the above link:
GOP Leader Drops BOMB on Schiff – Points to Committee Rule that Must Allow Republicans Day to Call Witnesses Since the democrats are always “following the rules”, could a member here identify the date that the republicans were able to call their own witnesses?? I will not hold my breath. |

Nope. That's just his list of promises, the ones you referenced as being "90% complete". Not sure what a pile of other stuff has to do with what you said.
I wouldn't sacrifice my integrity when they were paying me, you think I'm gonna do it for free? The Senecas owe. That whole non payment / Thruway fund hostage malarkey is the same sort of big business, savvy brain, alpha bulls#$% I rail against all the time. I guess I can understand it if I try; if I owed you $200 and I thought you owed me $400 and you have a history of f#$%ing me over and out every chance you get, maybe I'd have some hesitation, too. And I won't deny reveling anytime NYS is given a hard time, no matter the actor. But Senecas owe. If they get their Thruway check, they owe. If the Thruway goes to court and they lose, they still owe. You want me to say the Nation has no morals? Gimme an outlet. I'll say a f#$% ton more than that. Maybe, someday, even before the Supreme Court as the Plaintiff, god willing. Be bold and risk defeat, or be cautious and encourage it. |

You hated Trump before he was elected, you said he was an 'embarrassment'. You still hate him, what a shock. He could put a car in every garage and a chicken in every pot and you'd still hate him. What's your point. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
