What part of this makes sense:

Supervisor: I'm sending you an email I need you to send, by email, to a bunch of people.
Me: Why don't you send the email directly to them?
Supervisor: (incredibly nonsensical excuse)
Me: Ok, but please list whom you want me to send the email you send me.
Supervisor: Ok.

No matter how much you need it, I do not recall the 14-digit number of the item we ordered seven years ago.

Why is it when a mass email is sent either to the wrong list of addresses or as SPAM, about 99% of recipients feel obliged to hit "reply all" to say either "remove me from your list" or "I don't think this was for me"?
