About 90% of computer related problems will recur, usually at the most inopportune time.

The odds that you'll have to stay late for any reason (last minute work, piled up work, boss has a last minute meeting, etc.) are inversely proportional to your need to do something after work.

Reminds me of the military man who could not leave until his desk was clear, so he just mailed his undone work to himself and had it delivered the next morning.

If you ask for information that doesn't exist, don't be disappointed when you fail to get it. Likewise if you ask for things that don't' exist.

If you direct a query to the wrong area, don't blame me when you tell me to follow it up three days later and absolutely nothing has been done about it.

It's not funny when the accounting software asks "are you sure you want to delete this item?" when you hit the "save item" button.

The funny part was when the accounting department authorized the check to the computer consultant.

I have the habit of giving truthful names to some assignments, which reflect on the labels I use on file folders in the server. Things like "PWOT" (Pointless Waste Of Time), "ROOM101," "BLUESCREEN," etc. No one ever follows along, except for the last one.

There are files which are needed only for a short time, and once you use them you delete them. I re-labeled that folder from "TRASH" to "TRUMP."
