He keeps getting away with writing these disgusting things and has been warned often. He just doesn't care. I've said before that he could stick to writing about the issues and make good arguments because he seems to be pretty smart overall, but he always takes the low road in his writing.

Trump called for the murder of Clinton during the election season. Guess you're OK with that. He also boasted that he could shoot someone inroad daylight and no one would care. Guess you're OK with that, too.

I've told you before and I'll say it again--you can write whatever you want. True enough. I can also write whatever the heck i want about your writing, including hoping that you end up with the same status here you did over at WOV. You have pointed out a lot of "insults", so don't act all high and mighty on that one.

Righty double-talk. Hatred DEFINES conservatism--it is its very essence. Liberalism is about trying to stop hatred. That doesn't mean that we can't or won't hate evil people like Trump.

My comments about Brady alone, not to mention any random occurrences of rage, sort of denies me any leg to stand on. Hard to ban someone over something I engage in semi-regularly.

The cursing, maybe, but then I'd have to ban EB, RonC, Nareed, FrG, rxwine, and myself under the same rule.

It's perhaps in poor taste, but I'm not the arbiter of taste. And since folks here generally seem to desire trolling each other, and each seems able to handle it, and each seems able to control themselves and not let it spill everywhere, I "give the people what they want".

I must also admit, I am quite reluctant to ban when a banning removes 12% of the population. /shrug

I honestly don't really give a hoot whether or not his writing gets him tossed; it does reflect badly overall on the board. Some of the trolling back and forth does, too, but not as much as having a member openly advocating the untimely death of the President.

There is not much real discourse between different positions at this point in our society; we've taken the easy way out and just labelled the other side as "evil." Toss around some "evil", some "Hitler", some wishes for death of a public official and you pretty much end up with a pile of dog poop. Both sides do it, of course. It is the easy way out. This board is just reflective of our society in general today.
