My father passed away this week and he went out in his favorite chair at home without making a sound. He had breakfast and was making out his grocery shopping list and then it was over. I think that is how everybody wants to go out.

It sounds like to me, many of us are considering our check out time. I've always said, don't put me in one of those places where they have to wipe me.

I had a friend that used the Dr. assisted suicide approach, that sounds like your method there. And his father tried to get the Dr's in Oregon to help him die, but he didn't have a diagnosis, apparently old age isn't a guarantee of death. So he had to starve himself to death.

I thought I'd beat Fleastiff out of here, but I think he won?

Almost assuredly.

As many of you know, my career had me working at two tertiary care hospitals, one 'vascular' and the other 'trauma'. I can assure all of you that there are far worse fates than death. It's too bad that assisted suicide is not a simple process.
