Where did Trump raise the debt? He reduced taxes, but tax revenues were hitting record levels and accelerating before the pandemic. Nearly all of that increase in debt was due to mandatory spending. Trump has no control over mandatory spending. Obama added to the guaranteed to break records every year, perpetual increase in mandatory spending with his ACA. Slick Obama delayed implementing major portions of his ACA until 2014, and full implementation until 2020. Mandatory spending really took off, starting in 2014. Trump got stuck with the bill. "In 2018, subsidizing health coverage will cost taxpayers almost $700 billion. Also known as the Affordable Care Act, Obamacare..." - Bloomberg Trump has some control over discretionary spending, but any discretionary spending must be approved by the Democrat controlled House. Under Trump, discretionary spending increased by a total of about $400 billion spread over three years. As a percent of GDP, discretionary spending is at a historic low. The rest of the $3 trillion increase in the deficit was due to mandatory spending, which passed the tipping point, and began accelerating at an increasing rate as a percent of GDP in 2000.  |

It makes him look presidential in so many ways. Biden is just saying "METOO!" Biden is in a vice. The rioters and looters are the Democrat Party base today. They are supporters of The Squad. They are the energy of the left. He condemns them enough and they stay home. He supports them and he turns off the average voter. The Democrat Party has been spewing hate since Trump has been elected. Calling for people to "act up" as the left says. Now that it has turned to violence they cannot control it. The President is a fink. |
