Supporters have to work at a job and cannot spend their lives trying to watch every statue some piece of human garbage decides has to come down because they "don't like it."

If you want it done, and you won't do it yourself, you're going to have to pay someone else to do it for you. If the police won't do it for what you pay them, then the market forces have raised the price of policing.

Imagine you are a Trump supporter and then imagine you are a patriot.

Article 6 of the Constitution states that treaties shall be the supreme law of the land. In 1868, the United States government entered into a treaty with the Great Sioux Reservation, setting aside the Black Hills to the Sioux and deemed it for exclusive use by the Sioux people. Just 6 years later:

"There's gold up in dem hills!"

The United States government/army took it back in 1877 once gold was disovered. It's been in legal dispute ever since. The Supreme Court ruled in 1980 that the USA would have to compensate the Sioux, but the Sioux turned it down. They want WHAT IS RIGHTFULLY THEIRS, AS GRANTED TO THEM BY THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION, back! Their holy land!

Now imagine that you support a man that not only DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO ASK the rightful owners of that land if he coudl have an even there, but also delivered the most un-American and divisive speech we've seen from a sitting President. While we TRAMPLE the very document that Mount Rushmore is SUPPOSED to symbolize, the United States Consitution, a document that YOU KNOW AND I KNOW he has never read.

Who are the real patriots here? The people that worship the man who shits on the document that the SYMBOLS of American mythology are supposed to represent, or the people that think the Black Hills belong to the Sioux, WITH THE UNDERSTANDING that they can do whatever the f they want to that mountain.

There's a difference between "my country, right or wrong" vs "my country, let's make it right".

Giving the land back to their rightful owners is what a Patriot would do, according, of course, to the United States Constitution.

A traitor is somebody who instead goes to stolen land and delivers the most un-American and divisive speech in history while the Russians place bounties on our troops' heads, and does NOTHING about it.

And "the left", whatever the f that means,....is the problem? Some statues and monuments are getting torn down while we trample the Constitution?

The point is that you "fear" democrats because some statues are being torn down, while you ignore and are complicit in the trampling of our Constitution. Your fears are unfounded. You made some post in the other thread about what your "fears" are and you didn't mention Covid, racial divisions, or overall division. WTF happened to "united we stand divided we fall". But you're worried and are fearful of...statues and monuments going away?

Mount Rushmore was just one example. It's a monument on stolen land. If the Sioux announced that they planned to blow the monument up if they ever got their land that is rightfully theirs back, a REAL patriot would give them their land back and say go for it. It's yours.
