I don't know if all of those positions are held by mainstream Democrats but I'll let a Democrat defend the Democrats. My point is someone can be against the wall but in favor of border security. I will give you this much. None of the problems with border fences that I listed are ever discussed in DC. No one speaks for the people on the border directly affected or the wildlife.

How can you be in favor of border security yet against the simplest thing that can be done to improve border security? People and wildlife will adapt, not that either will be affected much at all.

So only 10% of the illegal immigrants in the US are not from Mexico. I don't understand the point you are trying to make.

That was just a small sample of nations. For Asia in its entirety there are 1,774,000 unauthorized immigrants living in the US. From Africa there are 318,000. From the Caribbean there are 351,000. From South America (not Central America) there are 685,000. From Europe there are 579,000. Add up those numbers: 3,707,000

There are 5,944,000 unauthorized immigrants from Mexico. But my point is that wasting billions on a wall in Texas will have zero impact on people sneaking in from China or Bangladesh or Haiti or Poland.
