Earlier today, Trump announced that he has a brand new campaign manager, Stephen Bannon. Bannon has never managed any political campaign-- not for city councilman or mayor or representative, let alone U.S. president! He's a total newbie.

Well, it's a bit obscure. According to reports, Bannon is the "campaign CEO," whatever the hell that is. Another person, i forget her name, is campaign manager.

But it was the rest of the report which made me hopeful.

It turns out Trump changed campaign managers a few weeks ago. The new guy was someone more experienced, who tried to get Trump to restrain himself (why did an image of Sisyphus flash in my mind just now?). This means when Trump made his latest infamous gaffes, he was trying to restrain himself. Cool.

Now, the new political boss, Bannon, is not only completely inexperienced and unqualified, but he's also 1) a former big wheel of a Trump ass-kissing website (Breitbart) and, 2) a believer in "letting Trump be Trump."

Do you know the expression "Likes calls to like"?

So, since outright, open, outrageous bigotry and xenophobia got him the nomination, Trump will get back to it.

Good.

What hurts Trump is good for the country. And the more hurts the GOP, the better for the GOP's long term future.

So far, one former Trump PAC employee has gone on record stating that Trump never wanted to win; on the contrary, the goal from the outset of the campaign was to come in second.

If she's telling the truth, his candidacy would be the biggest fraud in U.S. election history. He has royally screwed the GOP and conned the GOP primary voters into electing Hillary. But considering his lengthy and well-documented history of conning people (Trump University, his vitamin scam) this would fit the pattern.

I should say this more often: the enemy of my enemy should rarely be more than a convenient and temporary ally.

This woman actually wants what Trump is selling. Her beef is he doesn't intend to win. But her, and people like her, are what's wrong with the GOP, which were so responsive to Trump's poisonous message.

He could be just trying to distract everyone from the various scandals that popped up this week...

Focusing on this woman, while still incredibly stupid, gets everyone off the topic of what a sham the Trump Foundation is or about his Cuba dealings.

Some of these last minute anti-endorsements of Trump are I think a sign the last hold-outs believing "Trump will be okay" are giving up on that idea.

The out of control Trump persona is not just a carefully calculated strategy (of some sort), but an actual condition.

I don't listen to Conservative talk radio but some on the internet are saying some radio hosts cant believe Machado is still in the news

You're probably right, and the big clue is the time of day of his Twitter rant. Thursday night at 10:16pm. Then Friday morning at 3:10am, then 5:14am, then 5:19am, then 5:30am. He didn't get much sleep.

It's 39 days before the election, and he's not up all night studying national security details or economic policy positions. Instead, he's up all night obsessing about a feud he had with the winner of a beauty pageant in 1997.

This is simply unbelievable.
