I love Rugby 7's. I know some of the players over in Scotland who've played for years (there's a long tradition of it back to the 1890's of a tournament in Melrose, Scotland). Because you can't lead with the head, there's less brain trauma... now, what can happen to the limbs is a different story, I'm sure. But most of the players I know aren't suffering. Course, the game is harder and faster now, so that may change, but I'm pretty sure hard helmets will never be a part of Rugby.

The women's rugby looks like one heck of a physical sport as well.

I would expect the ratings to go up
In my opinion, the state of USA TV pretty much sucks
Just nothing I find compelling enough to watch week after week
On a regular night, I cruise the channels rarely stopping then going to Netflix or Amazon
If it wasn't for sports in general, I would cut the cord.

The Olympic coverage is fantastic.
I grew up in the era of crappy horrendous TV coverage.
1972 was when I became a rabid fan
One channel doing a highlights package every night with little or nothing live 70's through 80's

I've never watched so much Olympics in my life :-)
I love sports drama
I work from home and its the slow season for business travel so watching Olympics between calls
No commute time so more personal time to watch the Olympics

Todays highlights for me
The unseeded North Korea girl playing number 1 China in table tennis in the semifinal.
North Korea lost but it amazes me she went so far. A great attitude, smiled quite a bit.
USA vs Australia Mens basketball. Australia played the USA tough right down to the end. Very close. Australia has some NBA players. USA won :-)
