He did not get a Senate seat primary cleared for him because he was married to the POTUS

He did not steal people's equity in their homes for a missed payment in a crooked land deal

He did not benefit from affirmative action policies

I was not trying to detract from the man's accomplishments. Similarly the Roosevelts who became Presidents had to create their political careers.

of a 1 would be the Walton family
who owns Walmart, they just sit on
their wealth. A 10 is Oprah, for

Trump is a 5 on the self made list,
right in the middle. Right above
him at 6 is Rupert Murdoch. If
Forbes says Trump made most
of his fortune himself and is in the
middle of it's self made list, Trump
is self made.

If he's 5, he could be the glass half-full or glass half-empty. That's not a definitive ruling. It's ambiguous at best. It's middle of the road. He did average on the self-made list.
