If you want to know how evangelicals could still support Trump, you have to consider that they believe God can use anyone no matter if he is corrupt and crazy. Of course, there is little rational basis to conclude something definite other than they like a few things he has supported. Logically, it would make more sense to neither support Trump or Hillary. It seems putting both feet in his mouth wasn't enough, but he's not figured out what else to do. Or rather he has not figured out he needs to do something else. Oh, his base may love it. By now I'm sure his base would love anything their man does and says, so long as he doesn't do or say something kind or decent. You know the LA Times poll has been widely criticized and discredited? Of course you do. But you're too intellectually dishonest to point that out. Go ahead and find me a national poll that shows Trump in the lead that isn't from Rasmussen or LA Times. Go ahead. I'll wait. Heck, go ahead and find me a poll of North Carolina taken post-first debate that shows Trump in the lead... There isn't one. I don't really care about either one on a personal level but I do disagree with many of her stands on the issues and what I assume are her overall goals for our country. |
