Trump's strength is his weakness... he shoots from the hip and says some things that need saying (at least to the republicans). Then he says things that really don't need saying, in a way that makes him look reactive, not pro-active. Or a gibbering mouth piece with no filter, if you prefer.

I still think there'll be some late breaking changes to the race.

I'm a bit relieved to say "not all Republicans." Many of them are quite properly disgusted with Trump, regardless of his effect on the party, or his paltry poll numbers.

Given the content of what he says, I'd think it wasn't coming out of his mouth...

Not only that, though, but his skin is so thin it makes onion skin look like armor plate. It's not just that he doesn't take criticism well, it's that he has to grind his critics into dust. I remarked before he's not content to succeed, but he has to tear his rivals down as well.

If he can't handle criticism from the press, the people and his rivals, what makes anyone think he'll handle it any better from Congress and from foreign leaders? Do we want to give this man carrying on feuds with the House and Senate membership, or starting international crises willy-nilly, when faced with criticism? Didn't we get enough of that from W. Bush in the rush to his ill-conceived war with Iraq?

I see it all the time here in Michigan too.

I've seen a new ad a lot this morning from Hillary.

It hits Trump on his tax returns, using his own statement "If I run I will release them" against him. And then it shows clips of various Republicans questioning what he's hiding.

Her negative Trump ads have been so effective. All you have to do is use his own words against him. Works every time.
