There is more popular support against trump than for him. therefore he has no popular support the way you and his other supporters claims he does.

What a bizarre and distorted viewpoint. Actually, Mexico has a large and thriving middle class. Drug dealers are a tiny percentage of the population. Yes, there's a drug problem, but Mexicans aren't all poor or drug dealers any more than they are all thieves or rapists.

I think you'd be outraged if somebody said that everybody in the US was either poor or a gang member.

In 2012 it was estimated that Mexican cartels employed over 450,000 people directly and a further 3.2 million people's livelihoods depended on various parts of the drug trade. In cities like Ciudad Juarez, up to 60% of the economy depended on illegitimate money making.

Nareed is right. Trump lost the popular vote
Amazes me that EB just cant understand that.
fail math class?
+1 Nareed

Non citizens voting in the millions is as real as the boogie man

Thanks!

I am always right, except on those occasions when I'm not.

Anyone with a working memory who was over ten years old in 1993 knows Bill Clinton wasn't popular in his first term. His healthcare plan went nowhere, the press went after him relentlessly, the Democratic party lost the midterm elections badly (which led the Republicans to misread the situation, as is usual whenever a party wins big), he pretty much had to bring in outside help, some from long-time GOP operatives, and do a second presidential run while in office in order to gain a measure of popularity.

And this after winning a plurality of the vote (more votes than anyone, but short of a majority). But then he started off with the same wrong idea the trumpkins are now enamored with: that winning the EC confers popularity. He was clinging to a landslide EC win and ignoring the popular vote totals.

What allowed him a second term was that the GOP misread their win in the 94 midterms as a mandate to undo the 92 election and to obstruct the Clinton administration. Also picking Bob Dole as a candidate... He's a good enough man, but he has all the charisma of a dead fish.

Now, it took Clinton a while to realize his error, but he did rectify it eventually. I'm predicting the Orange Man won't interpret public disapproval of his agenda as what it is, but rather as a concerted effort against him, which requires him to strike back. But when he fights back, he'll only make himself more unpopular.

I also don't think the GOP will have any tolerance or patience for kleptocracy. And there's perfectly good, solid conservative Mike Pence just sitting around doing nothing, with a ticket to the White House good for 4 years.

Certainly the GOP isn't planning how to impeach Trump. But many in the party would like to see him disgraced, many more would rather have Pence in the top job, and a few who can see the Orange Man in no way represents they principles the GOP claims to stand for. So if Trump digs a hole, I see no impractical reason like party loyalty for the GOP to miss the chance of throwing dirt on him.

Graves are so much neater than holes.

'he has no popular support the way you and his other supporters claims he does.'

So you missed the thank you rally the
other day? He packed the place, it was
standing room only.

This is a complete lie. The crowd size had dwindled compared to the sizes of the rallies during his campaign.

They even had to delay the rally to allow more people to show up to fill the seats. There were no lines of people waiting to get in, and it most definitely wasn't standing room only.

Evenbob lies to make Trump look better = get used to it for the next 4 years. He's already trying to polish every turd PEOTUS Trump drops on his followers.

What? You don't believe he packed in 52.5% of the nation's voters at a rally?

By the way, speaking of the thank you rally nobody seems to be talking about what I thought was the best thing President Elect Donald J. Trump said: NO MORE toppling foreign governments no more of this silly idea of nation building and perpetual war that Bush,Obama and Clinton stand for. Amen to that. Thank God he's not a neocon republican. Or democrat.

But how can you believe anything he says?

Do you believe Mexico will pay for the wall?

Do you believe he's gonna "drain the swamp" with all the billionaires he's assembling for his cabinet? With the Goldman Sachs guy as Treasury Secretary?

Do you believe he will get rid of ISIS quickly? That he knows more than the generals do about ISIS?

I find it interesting how Trump supporters pick and choose which issues they believe he is telling the truth about....

I doubt it
How was security at the Trump rallies you went to?
What do you think has changed?
Trump rallies I went to, you empty your pockets and go through a metal detector while security examines what was in your pockets
I doubt this procedure has changed

I live way too far in the blue to have been remotely close to any trump rallies. Probably wouldn't go anyway though.
