the Scriptures say anything you want and that is why you do need an authority,.

It's impossible to read the NT without
the context of an interpreter. It's so
vague, and contradicts itself so many
times. My current fave question now is,
say, what the heck happened to all those
Jewish saints that came flying out of their
tombs and graves when Jesus was resurrected?
How comes nobody ever wants to talk
about that.

Probably because it is not the main point of the story and as you have pointed out is not as historically verified as the main even of the Resurrection itself. It is present in one of the Gospels to show the power of the Resurrection. Trying to read too much into it is a failure in appropriate hermeneutics and goes against the tradition of the Church Fathers and early Christians who also did not talk about it all that much for probably the same reasons you mentioned.

I am glad you realize the need for help in interpreting the Scriptures. You also seem keenly aware of the what happens when we interpret Scripture according to our own thoughts, we end up with all kinds of differing opinions based on what we want Scripture to say and not what it really does.

It makes no sense without somebody
putting their spin on it. In other words,
it's useless, why bother with it if you
have to make things up to fill in the
blanks.

You are exaggerating again. Like how all these Christians agree on the interpretation of a vast majority of the Bible so the Bible itself is intelligible for those even with a elementary level of education. When you encounter difficult texts or parts you seek help, like you would in reading anything.

Especially with Exodus, since the Jews have
declared their own book a myth, a bunch
of made up stories. Not only is there zero
physical proof any of the things in Exodus
happened, it flies in the face of what written
records we have.

Um, you should probably check with Jews before making such a huge statement. You should also probably check with other written sources of history and archeology.

Not only didn't the Jews build the pyramids,
and were slaves, the Jews didn't even exist
till much later in history. The whole book of
Exodus is complete fiction just like 95% of
the whole Bible is fiction. Facts are horrible
things when you're trying to foist a religion
on the ignorant.
