Unless I am very much mistaken there have been native Muslims who planned attacks but were caught.

There have certainly been plenty who have decided to go overseas and be jihadists; the problem seems to be mostly second-generation too. That's disturbingly non-assimilation; it's the second generation we have expected to assimilate, with other groups.

I hold out hope America will do better than places like France, that idiotically brought a bunch of people in and had no jobs for them.

I think we should just be careful. 59,000 is already rolling the dice.

I remember this one because I lived in the area at the time.

Of course I expect the same folks to say "but they were not from Syria" to this, so will leave some space for that:

Meanwhile, there are ISIS investigations in all 50 states.

Though ISIS came about on Obama's watch the Middle East has been in factious wars for thousands of years, no need to feel guilty about it all.

Again, you do not take refugees from a country that is hostile to you and part of a culture that does not match your own.

The city of Dearborn with a substantial Muslim population destroys your argument

To me, Christians and Muslims are the same, they both believe in a make believe god. Mosques, churches, all the same buildings to me, built to pray to make believe.

I think you are thinking about casinos and sport stadiums, they are the secular churches and mosques of today.

No, the city of Dearborn PROVES my argument. Ghettoized muslim population in a high-crime city. There are countless smaller areas in the USA same way. The thing is, your idea of success in assimilating a muslim population seems to be "no attacks." I look at the bigger picture and see the problems a large muslim minority brings.

Please look closer. Christians are not calling for the death of infidels and stoning women for the crime of being raped. I will never understand why atheists and liberals defend muslims to the end yet anything Christian is to be seen as totally a bad thing.

I defend moderate Muslims and don't have a problem with them building communities, just like I don't have a problem with other races and cultures building communities.

I abhor fundamentalist Muslims. I generally abhor fundamentalist anything.

The problem is they do not stay "moderate" as you say the term. Islam cannot live side by side with other cultures, this has been proven over 1,500 years and no reason to believe it will change. Virtue of western societies is going to be their death.

Without oil, every muslim society is a disaster area. Why would we want to import that?

??????????????
Most Muslims don't live in the Middle East
Asia has a far larger population of Muslims.
Here you go again, take a small minority and paint the whole population with your false views.
