I just saw a preview for Blackish. It's the
most I'll ever see of it, guaranteed.

Black-ish will almost certainly stay on for four years and produce enough episodes to go into syndication, but it lost that massive audience that it began with.

No outside of TBBT and Modern Family all the sitcoms are all about the same level of popularity. A lot of people have not seen any of them. The rich black family, the poor alcoholic slutty white family, the Jewish family from the 80's, the divorced men's family from the 60's, the 2 poor girls (in syndication), the apocalyptic stupidity, the fat family (in syndication), the Midwestern family(in syndication), the workplace comedy from Brooklyn, the Chinese family with their own steakhouse, and Life in Pieces.

Isn't there one with a Korean dentist? The kids
are really growing up on MF. I liked Manny
better when he was a kid talking like an adult.
Now he's an adult talking like an adult, it's
not as funny. Luke was more interesting as
a kid, the Vietnamese kid was better as little
girl. Now that she talks normally, she's not
funny at all. She's not a good actress but
they're stuck with her. They already replaced
her in the 2nd season and caught holy hell
for it.

Growing kids always ruin a show eventually.
2 1/2 Men was the exception. When the
kid got too big, he was awful. So they put
him in the army and then he left and it
stayed on. I remember the last season
of Leave it to Beaver. He'd gotten so
big the show was just stupid, even I
couldn't watch it.

I think he is a physician. I did not list the Friday comedies, as Friday is a graveyard for shows. They are not expected to get a big audience. On Saturdays they just show reruns.

He has the normal background of a stand up comedian. He played violin in the orchestra, graduated at HS at age 16 Duke University before his 21st birthday and obtained his M.D. degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995.

Dr Ken has a few guest shots on episodic TV, and joined Chelsea Handler in a prank show on Oxygen Channel. And the most unheard of thing of all time, he has an Asian fiancee/wife who encouraged him to quit being a doctor and try being a full time comic actor. I don't mean to stereotype, but it seems more likely that the ocean would boil.

Of course if you are a minority comic, you get a complete license to be racially offensive.

NBC dropped Emerald City from its lineup
in 2014, and reinstated in 10 eps for early
2016. Weird. Sounds like an expensive show.

'Here's the logline for the new take: In the blink of a tornado’s eye, 20-year-old Dorothy Gale and her K9 police dog are transported to another world, one far removed from our own — a mystical land of competing kingdoms, lethal warriors, dark magic and a bloody battle for supremacy. This is the fabled Land of Oz in a way you’ve never seen before, where wicked witches don’t stay dead for long and a young girl becomes a headstrong warrior who holds the fate of kingdoms in her hands.'

There's a gorgeous little Latino girl as
Dorothy Gale. Her name is Adria Arjona.
I've seen her in a couple things, she's
a doll. Plays a good mean girl too,

Well the ratings may be off their peak, but they are still the highest for scripted programming.

There doesn't seem to be a magic race casting card. Fox's "Minority Report" and "Sleepy Hollow" with a white male and black female leads are in tailspins.
So are the new "mostly white" sitcoms "The Grinder " and "Grandfathered".

"Rosewood" and "Empire" (back to back Wednesdays) are leading the Fox scripted lineup.

With an increasing number of network shows on Fox and CW having fewer than 2 million viewers, you wonder how long some TV stations will last.

KAXT-CD is a class A digital television station in San Jose, California, which does not show any high definition programming. Instead it offers 12 (soon to also include 8 audio channels) standard definition (480i resolution; 4:3 aspect) digital subchannels mostly in languages other than English.

Wow, a mid season show on NBC with
Ray Liotta and Jennifer Lopez? The
writing better be damn good.
