I realize this doesn't mean much to many people since they don't watch broadcast TV anymore. But the broadcast season is coming to a close, and the announcements will be made shortly about which shows get axed. Many shows have already been renewed or cancelled (or simply terminated).

I know EB liked Battle Creek, but it had poor ratings and is on the "predict cancel" list.

Network Renewed Predict Renew Predict Cancel

The Blacklist AD: The Bible Continues About a Boy
Chicago Fire The Night Shift American Odyssey
Chicago P.D. Undateable Constantine

I can't believe it.

Of all those shows I have only heard of 10.
Of those 10, at least 5 I have heard of either because they are old or retreads.
And of the 10 I have watched maybe 2 on my own, and seen 1-2 others because someone else was watching when I was in the room.

The old big 3, ABC CBS NBC allways had scheduled programming supported by brief commercials all day everyday during hours people typically awake,
The only time you saw them selling 30 min to 1 hour blocks for infomercials was at 3am.
Times have changed.
Was channel surfing weekend afternoon.
A couple of the major networks had infomercials for weekend afternoon programming.
Wow, how far they have fallen resorting to infomercials during weekend afternoon to pay the bills :-(

I'm glad Galavant got cancelled. That was the worst 5 minutes of TV I've seen in years.

Backstrom had too many characters in it, it'd have been much more entertaining with less of an ensemble. Constantine had just about found it's pace at the end of the tenth episode... but it died on the first half dozen.

Brooklyn 99 is a shiny star in a sea of filth.

And I must cancel my cable today...

One of the best shows on now is coming back for
it's second season this month. 'Halt and Catch
Fire' is on AMC. It's about the struggle to build
the first laptop computer in Dallas in the early
80's and they capture the era perfectly. I blasted
thru the first season on Netflix. It has everything,
sex, drama, and a lot of tech info. Good writing,
good acting, I was hooked after the pilot.

The third column is "Predict Cancel" not "Is Cancelled"

So you might get more Galavant.

I won't... I'll be off cable by then :) But good point, my reading comprehension is low today.

I was going to put that in the "Netflix" thread but have only made 3 or 4 episodes so far. If you remember that time you will love it, if you are Gen Y or after I think not so much as it is not as period engrossing as "Mad Men." Thought the 80s may be the 60s to the same group?

I like it because I wasn't into computers at
all in the 80's, I barely knew they existed.
I'm amazed at how advanced they were.
I got one in 92 solely to get on the net,
such as it was then. My wife should have
had one early for her business, I had to
drag her into it kicking and screaming in
98. She was terrified of computers, but took
to it like a duck to water.
