For example, I can never unsee the murder by large drill bit in Body Double.

That's over three decades old.
10/26/84 Body Double
7/24/81 Blow Out

It's funny but that scene didn't really bother me. If it seems unreal or cartoonish to me, no matter how gory, it doesn't stay with me.

I actually remember the psychological scene at the end of Brian De Palma's earlier movie, "Blow Out" bothered me more, because I could more easily imagine it happening. The first two episodes of Black Mirror seem very realistic to me, and hence I get more upset at them than the drill bit scene.

When I said earlier that watching Black Mirror was like watching torture porn, I meant that they are equally entertaining to me.
I didn't actually mean that Black Mirror was torture porn.

Season 5 of Bosch has been renewed for
a 6th season, and season 5 hasn't even
come out yet. Just watched season 2
again. Dang if every episode isn't
a winner. Season 2 got a solid
5 stars on Prime and Rotten Tomatoes
gave it a 100% rating. How often
does that happen.

There isn't a human on the planet
that ALWAYS 100% of the time
thinks a book, any book, is better
than the movie or TV show. It's
a ridiculous comment because
it's apples and oranges.

In a book, you can dispense far
more information, and you're
forced to use your imagination
to picture that world. So how could
a limited time movie or TV possibly
know what you have built up in
your mind. All your seeing is the
what the screenwriter see's after
he read the book.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Bird Box registered 80 million Netflix homes worldwide, and many with repeat viewers suggesting more than one person watched in households.

Although the biggest movie sold domestic (USA & Canada) between 34 and 76 million tickets this year, keep in mind that it takes a little more effort and money to go to a theater.

Fyre, The Greatest Party that never happened.
Its pretty good
The most shocking thing to me is that Billy Mcfarland continued to scam people as he was on probation for the Fyre fiasco
