We binged on all the Roman era series on Netflix, and all of them were just loaded with soft hetero porn, which we came to fast forward through as well. I like a good boob shot as much as the next hetero, but after a million or so "love" scenes, I'm there to watch the acting, plot and scenery. I got tired of watching actors kiss passionately long ago. I don't enjoy watching face sucking or listening to the sounds associated with lips sucking each other. We are currently re watching OITNB, lots of girl on girl passion. Don't care, it interferes with the plot line. I don't know if it's the same for all normal males? But if I have to watch one or the other, or have to endure passionate couples of the same sex, I prefer to watch a couple of hot women, versus some hairy legged men. Like Bill Burr said, I watch a couple women going at it, I can imagine me joining in, if I see a couple guys going at it, there is no place in there for me. Each to their own I say, but I think men are unattractive, especially nude. The last official act of any government is to loot the treasury. GW |

Obviously EB did not watch the show and is listening to reviewers that hate any show with a gay character no matter how small that part is. I look for well written compelling stories and great acting. As long as a series has that, I could care less if some gays are involved in the story It's about money laundering in the Ozarks. Regarding the gays in the show, I would rate their scenes PG13 and they are a very small part of the story. Regarding the violence and language in the show, yea, R rated but that's what viewers want. Its good realistic writing. In real life, violence happens and people drop F bombs. Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

They started out just gentle kisses and increased through the episodes. Of course they hired Russel Davies who developed "Queer as Folk" which reflected the "hedonistic lifestyle" of the gay quarter of Manchester. Tthe series première aired on the day the House of Lords was discussing the Sexual Offences Bill 1999. |

I've known and been friends with lots of Gay men. My fave TV show that I see reruns of every day is Modern Family. A Gay couple is a major part of the show. What I don't like is gratuitous Gay sex scenes, or non Gay ones either. It's right up there with watching somebody sitting on the toilet taking a daily crap. Who cares, we all do it, it always looks the same, it's boring as hell. Gay sex scenes especially pander to a small part of the audience. I almost didn't watch Downton because there's a Gay scene in the 2nd episode, but I read the rest of the series wasn't like that at all. Thank god.. Gay writers love to put Gay sex scenes in everything now, in hopes it will become accepted. Nope. Like Sam Kineson said, the crack of another mans hairy ass ain't never gonna do nothing for me.. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I read the article It does not make sense. Its an illogical pie in the sky idea. There is nothing on NBC/USA/BRAVO that I watch for entertainment. I would rather pay for high quality entertainment on Netflix then be paid peanuts to watching boring network shows I have no interest in. Netflix has the right idea and proper business model Its about exclusive high quality entertainment paid for by the consumer Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

I constantly do, it puts things in context. I do it every day. For instance, I saw Andy Hardy movies on TV in the 50's all the time. They were only 15 years old, or so. Relevant. Now they're 70 years old, a time period that doesn't exist anymore. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I just get into how old is something and how old would something be when it was new. For example, when Ford killed the Panther cars they had been in production for 33 years. The kid who started in the plant the day they were first made in 1978 was on a full pension. But looking at a new model car in 2011 compared to the first one made in 1978 is like being in 1978 to a 1946 Ford first made after WWII. But which had more in common with which? This is confusing to me. In 1968 a friend had a 1948 Chrysler and it was beyond ancient to us. From another planet. Today you still see cars from 98 on road, or even older. They seem like yesterday, a couple years ago, If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
