It's three times this season, played at
exactly the right time. Bogus..

It's got to drive the good players who
were voted off early nuts that all the extreme
lame players are left. It's like graduating
from medical school and all the students
with the worst grades get the best jobs.
Real life doesn't work that way.

I'd have to be compensated really well to be steered away deliberately from the million.

Anyway, the reality show "Big Brother" allows the audience to watch 24/7 the entire season with pay cams. So you can actually see the parts they pick for the show if you doubt they are making a whole bunch of things up.

That said, reality casts know that playing for the camera has its advantages. There's a 100k prize for favorite survivor aside from the winner picked by the audience. The hero types and the especially horrible or hated cast members have a pretty good chance of getting picked for another show, because they like people the audience loves or loves to hate.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

It takes longer to tape tribal than any other
part of the show. Hours, usually. They show
them walking with torches and they shoot
it over and over from different angles.

Then it takes 2 hours sometimes to get 12min
of them all sitting and talking. Ever notice that
when Jeff announces who's been voted off, the
victim usually takes it really well? That's not
their initial reaction. Sometimes they jump up and
curse out the rest of the players. They verbally
attack their 'friends', they ones they thought
they could trust. They take this very seriously,
a million bucks is on the line. What we see is
often much later, when they have calmed
down enough to look like good sports.

It's not a show about winning, the best players
don't win.

It's been a loooong time since I've watched Survivor, but I thought it was standard strategy to boot the good players first. The strong, the smart, the capable. If you keep the best and make it tot he end, then you have to go against the best.

Or have things changed since '99?
Be bold and risk defeat, or be cautious and encourage it.

It's what previous players say happens.
30 shows, that's a lot of players.

All the smart, good players get voted
off early. They get ganged up on by
the idiots. That's all that's left now.
Idiots. So the smartest idiot will
win. Reason I quit watching 7 years
ago.

In my opinion the way it usually works is there is one strong player pulling strings on a bunch of puppets to remove the other strong players. This season it is Rodney who I suspect is pulling the strings and controlling the game.

The Weakest Link is another show with this strategy. On that show it pays to be the second smartest. Then again, maybe sometimes the smartest throw some questions to not appear smartest.

Rodney's never ending whining is getting
on their nerves. It's my birthday, wah wah
wah. I never go for a reward, wah wah.
I think he'll get voted off next. Mike will
win in the end, moron that he is.

What made you start watching again after stopping 7 years ago?

I had forgotten why I stopped. I don't
watch, I record it now and FF to tribal.
After anybody good got voted off,
what's the point of listening to them
grunt at each other.
