Why? They just lost one of their most popular shows. All because snowflakes can't take a tweet. They should worry about something important.

How many shows have they canceled because of anti-Trump remarks?

Sad.

They ARE worrying about something more important. That's the ENTIRE point of doing it. And I applaud them for taking a stand.

Personally, I think it was an overreaction. But it's also in context of lots of similar garbage from her, previous warnings and activities, and probably a bunch of backstage things we don't know.

And I think it's a perfect demonstration of free speech in action. She said something crappy, she pays for it. That's how it's supposed to work.

The main issue I have with Trump in this area is not what he says. You can't fix stupid.

The issue I have is with all the people who know better, not condemning him, not making repercussions count, making excuses or providing revisionist interpretations instead.

Their idea of the value of this country is entirely too cheap. It's been paid for many times with the blood and sweat of millions. Even though it's a capitalist society, it's not about money.

ABC gets it. Others don't.

From reading some of the things since yesterday, it sounded more like this was the last straw rather than out of the blue. I already saw a rumor they might Charlie Sheen her. Don't know if that will work. Charlie went nuts and they replaced him. I don't think it ever worked that well with Kucher, but the show was already pretty well along also. I guess they got some mileage out of it though.

As a matter of fact,

Quote:
“Adios Roseanne! Good riddance hashtag NOT Winning. The runway is now clear for OUR reboot. #CharlieHarperReturns,” Sheen tweeted along with an image of a script for the series.

As fans of the series know, it ran from 2003 to 2012. It ran for 12 seasons, but Sheen was famously fired from the series after Season 7 following a slew of bad publicity similar to that which Barr is getting now. “Men” was an immensely popular show, though, and continued on with Ashton Kutcher replacing Sheen alongside costar John Cryer, who had his own thoughts on Sheen’s revival idea.

“What could go wrong?” he wrote along with a retweet of Sheen’s post.

I would take it more seriously if they were evenhanded about it. But they aren't. It is why I brought up the parallel to the NFL demonstrations. Where are all the "free speech defenders" for Rosanne? They are silent. I will repeat. Where were they when all the vile cracks were made about Sarah Palin? Nowhere to be found.

Again.

Like Rush said yesterday, if she had said
something twice as bad about Melania,
Roseanne would have been applauded
by ABC and the media. Just more double
standard BS.

Frankly I have not even tried to keep track of what was said or sent or whatever.
It was well known she was very demanding on the set and these things have a way of being the exact same as a shot-taker in a casino, The dealers, the floor and the pit boss all put up with it up to a point. When subtle hints and warnings fall on deaf ears, the pit boss makes a phone call and four big beefy guards with all the equipment on their belts show up and its all over for him.

So its not some issue of free speech or ratings or contract negotiation strategy.... its just "the gills". When the network has had it up to the gills its over with.

A New Jersey couple confessed to taking more than $1.4 million from Hurricane Sandy victims seeking home repairs, using the ill-gotten cash for a diamond ring and wagers in Atlantic City.

Jeffrey Colmyer and Tiffany Cimino, of Little Egg Harbor, admitted to the theft charges on Tuesday, the state’s attorney general announced.
Authorities say the couple ran a fraud scheme through two construction companies -- Rayne Construction Management Services and Colmyer & Sons – and preyed upon more than 20 victims of the storm who gave them money for home elevations, reconstruction and other repairs -- work that was never started or completed.

Gotta quote Trump's favorite word usage here: Sad.

Colin still has his free speech rights
Roseanne still has her free speech rights

There no constitutional right to employed by the NFL
There is no constitutional right to be on TV

Here I am on the left defending everybody's free speech
I don't get your rant.

Vile cracks about Palin??????????
So who should get fired?

Sad.

The Left uses that word so often,
it's lost all meaning. Everything,
and I mean everything, is 'sad'
to them if they don't like it.

You do know that there are a whole
litany of adjectives besides just
using the word 'sad' all the time.
Unless sad is the only emotion
you're capable of expressing, using
it constantly just shows a lack
of imagination at best, and a lack
of education.

How about:

dismal
depressing
troubling

To name just a few. I try to never use
'sad', it's just way over used.

Trump has tweeted "sad" in this manner over 60 times.

https://people.com/politics/donald-trump-things-called-sad-twitter/amp/

That's just the tweets.

That's why "the left" is using it bigly now. It's yuge.

I though this was pointed out a year ago.

Yeah, here it is, from April 2017

No no Nooooooo... They were using
it lonnnnggg before Trump. Sarah
Palin was 'sad', W was really really
'sad'. People who love guns have
always been 'sad' to the Left. It's
the only adjective they know, I'm
convinced of it.

I could go on and on but the
point is made. Oh, remember
