There is no doubt that we can do better.

The idea should be to do better, reward those who help us get there, and do it without tearing our current system apart as we rebuild in a different manner.

Solar and wind have limitations. 93.4% of Norway's power comes from hydro. That is a much more even and reliable source. We have a ton of wind turbines here in Texas and are growing the number of solar farms...but they fail miserably when it comes to weather issues. Too windy, too little wind, too cloudy, etc. The drop in production is too much to rely on at this point.

The government needs to be in the business of keeping the cost of energy reasonable by allowing us to use our oil and working to help build renewables via tax breaks and credits. When they become trillion dollar companies, perhaps the subsidies should stop and move on to others. Allowing higher and higher prices costs the poor and lower middle class--the very people Democrats say they want to help--more by percentage than it does people who are better off.

Anyone who thinks the Democrats party is dead because of a couple of close elections is just as wrong as those who said Republican party was dead a few months ago. It is kind of funny how the mood of pundits, and others, swings so hard when they lose an election.

True. But by ‘dead’, I think people take it to mean that Biden’s agenda now doesn’t get passed, and come 2023 when he is working (likely) with a Republican House and Senate, …. then the potential for the agenda being fulfilled is dead.

But there was not one so they could not push it like they did in 2020. If they could have stolen the election they absolutely would have because they needed it so desperately. But Virginia by design is not stealable. There are no ballot dumps they can do in the middle of the night, no rigged machines, all they could do was try to keep people away from the polls my blocking voters who weren't wearing masks. That didn't work either. If they could have stolen it like I did in 2020, believe me, Terry McAuliffe would be the governor elect. Trump won again last night just like he won in 2020.
