The whole country is not laughing at Saturday Night Live because they have lost what they did best--making fun of everyone, no matter the party. I used to watch it every week back when it was a new show. I don't watch it as much anymore because they are just not that funny. The ratio of really good material to poor material is way off. Doing satire is hard for someone who hates their subject; it just comes off as a bitter attack. Not that should not be allowed to say or attack whoever they want to...it just makes crappy comedy. They still have a decent audience but I think it would be much better if they fixed the ratio to have better bits. There are lots of reasons to make fun of Trump; there are lots of reasons to make fun of Biden. |

I tuned in after Trump won, first tune in for me in like 15-20 years. I figured it would be the best cold open in comedy history. But just some fake Hillary playing some Alleuijah song on piano, as if some tragedy on the level of 9/11 just hit. Turned it off and have not watched or cared since then. They want half of the nation to hate the show that is on them. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

Alec Baldwin as Trump was hilarious I tuned back in for Alec I have no doubt many did Its even funnier how some on the right are livid over Alec making fun of Trump Absolutely livid There is a problem with people that turn to hate after seeing comedy I laugh at Lets go Brandon because its so stupid Yet Trumpers can't laugh at Alec Weird Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

I don’t even think Alec’s impression was that good. Other people do a much better job impersonating him. It’s just that Donny gave the SNL writers SO MUCH MATERIAL to work with. I am sure you and the left enjoy it, but I have laughed at SNL bits about every President since Gerald Ford. I just ddn't get the same feel from the Trump portrayals. I can't laugh at somebody that is just not funny. Let's Go Brandon is a jab at the media as much as anything; the reporter knew what was being said and used that term to cover for it. It is funny, it means little to nothing overall, and it has a little life to it. It hasn't exactly jumped the shark, though it will run its course. |
