There are any number of medical conditions that are perfectly legitimate and might require a person to have access to food or beverage within a short time window.

Such a person would bring their own. And it would not be a meal from Uber but probably something small with sugar.

In some jurisdictions, standing in line for hours is quite routine. Some of the scenarios are quite well-documented. Just because neither of the two of us has directly experienced it (longest I've taken is an hour beginning to end) doesn't mean it never happens.

I think an hour is the most I've seen or heard of. Huge line here at opening last fall but my guess it was just early birds and after opening it would be not bad, like the buffet at the casino.

The real question is are long lines a sign of election fraud with too many unexpected voters.

The hour is the most I've ever personally experienced, but I hardly consider the sample size of polling lines I've seen significant enough to make definitive conclusions of every single polling line/jurisdiction in the entire country. I specifically remember it being an hour in the latish evening in a polling jurisdiction in or around Pittsburgh. I wasn't actually the one waiting to vote as I was registered in Ohio at the time.

In contrast, if I went by only the small rural jurisdiction in Ohio and based my assumptions on that exclusively, then I would say that voting takes no longer than five minutes.

Either way, if someone wants to pass around pieces of fruit or candy bars, then I really don't see the problem as long as they are not promoting (or wearing anything that would promote or holding a sign that would promote) any political party, ballot measure or specific candidate in the process.

No, I would not come to that conclusion. My conclusion would be that they did not sufficiently prepare for the number of voters who appeared.

Google "standing in long lines to vote" under Google images.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

I will repeat. It is a polling place. Including the line. It is not your living room. Eat before or after.

I have to be honest, I have never heard of "standing in line for hours." If it happens it is a most unusual thing. Liberals act like it is the usual thing to have to do.

This is so inconsistent, I can't believe that you really believe this, you just are happy that in the short term it will benefit your party.

Buisneses telling patrons to wear masks is a violation of your rights, but people should be arrested for having food brought to them outside on a public sidewalk.

You clearly have never lived in a city. In densely populated areas, wait times even in "normal times" can be multiple hours, during COVID its even worse. During COVID + hugley popular elections it was insane in many places.

And, the 150 radius is far in a densely populated area (it's far even outside such areas). To give context its about half of a city block. So this means that stores on the same block as the polling location likley cannot give out food or or water to potential voters, and could be charged if a free sample is taken by a voter (depending on interpretation of enforcing authorities). Its just absurd on so many levels.

To say it's not like my living room would be fair if I was demanding to eat inside, which I am not. I am talking about on public streets or in my car while waiting....

The line is the line. Wait until after to eat. Not going to kill you.

Why do the Democrat cities not do a better job of setting up polling, that is what you need to be asking if it is indeed an issue.

Because republican governors and state legislators make it purposefully hard for them to do so.

Duh.

Massive number of voters is the first places to look for fraud. But if they would just accept ID laws then they could legit say, "See, there is no fraud."

I'm not opposed to requiring ID at the polling place. I don't massively support it, either. Pretty neutral on that one.

The NY local media reports on three or four of these attacks every day. Many more are going unreported. This is the most violent one reported in the past 24 hrs.

The attacks have been going on for decades, but now, the attacks are constant. It is at the point where the National Guard should be brought in to protect the Asian community.
