We know Trump is perfectly capable of avoiding face to face meetings and firing someone by cowardly memo while the person is at home.

If the guy actually saw patients maybe I would hold him in higher esteem.

Trump is the "decider" as Bush would have said. Trump can fire him and hire someone else. Put the blame on Trump where it belongs if you don't like what Fauci is doing.

Fauci actually stood up for trump at the Senate hearing today. A little surprising.

As far as 'actually seeing patients', that's not what you want in an epidemiologist. I like Rand Paul reminding everyone that Fauci's expertise is limited in scope, and he should not be weighing in on when things should open. What he should point out is his expert opinion on how many additional deaths a decision to reopen might cause. Then let the duly elected officials use that information, weighing the pluses and minuses.

The whole argument about dick size and guns is ridiculous because it would mean a guy with a big dick is supposed to think he can defend himself without a gun because he has a big dick? See how stupid that argument is? I don't need a gun, I'm prepared because I have a big dick. Yeah, no.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

I just saw a meme in a FB Rand Paul group that I am still a member of from my libertarian days.
I have no idea how true it is.
(Posted by somebody trolling obviously) But, it says Rand Paul got into Med School with no undergrad and only has an MD from Duke. Not sure how that is possible if true (maybe back in the day)....

But, I actually found it more impressive because it means, if true, that Duke found him intelligent and competent enough to enroll him in medical school.

Basically the meme was trying to discredit him, also saying how he has not seen a patient in some number of years (forget how many).

But, the point the leftist was trying to make is that his scope is limited. But, actually that is not a good or bad thing.

Rand Paul is not wrong, everyone has a scope of speciality, if you step outside of it, you may not be the most informed.

I would say Dr. Faucci is more qualified than Dr. Paul to formulate opinions on reopening. But, he is not an expert on every locality.

The point is, you are never going to find a Pysician, regardless of qualifications and experience, who is an expert on every aspect of every locality and the risk of various degrees of opening. This is why State and City guidance needs to be followed.

You have put WAY too much thought into this.

People often say guys who drive huge trucks are compensating for a small dick. Is that ridiculous too?

I always heard that it was guys that ride Harley's.

They are equally qualified to formulate an opinion. I think what you meant to say is that you would value Fauci's opinion more. I would not. Fauci's opinion would be biased to favor a life over 1000 jobs. The doctor/politician might have a different opinion.

I mean his job is to value human life as much as possible, ultimately that is his job description.
