With the lack of personal hygiene in those days, being a Lesbian couldn't have been much fun.

I'm not sure even if Queen Anne was freshly bathed it would be a lot of fun.

Olivia Coleman plays her as very dour.

She will probably play QEII with a bit more makeup

Really good movie. Sci fi

Jake Gyllenhaal plays a military helicopter pilot recruited in what would be termed a top secret black project.

IMO, the less you know about this movie the better because there are a few mysteries to ponder as it goes along, as well as the main plot being revealed.

Your point of reference at the beginning is in the same state of confusion as the main character. So the reveal starts from there. You will recognize a plot device used in other movies, but it's done pretty well here and works. The female (co-lead kind of reminds me of Tom Cruises ex-wife -- the one with the kid)

I give it 4 out of 5 body parts.

currently available on demand cox cable.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

They are very similar looking.

Katie Holmes (b. December 18, 1978 ) began dating actor Tom Cruise in April 2005.
Tom Cruise began shooting Mission Impossible III with Michelle Monaghan (born March 23, 1976) after they got the green light to make the movie in June 2005

'Arrival', 2016. Amy Adams

What a pile of dung. I got sucked in
by the 7.8 rating on IMDB. I kinda
knew in the first half hour that this
would go nowhere. It was so slow,
painfully slow, like everybody was
moving in slow motion. And it never
got better.

There was no action to speak of, they
never explain anything, and the aliens
are ridiculous. Movies like this really
piss me off.

Don't you have an interest in languages?

They never explained anything. Like
how she went from not understanding
them to speaking to them fluently.

And the whole thing was so convoluted.
The opening, where her daughter dies,
is meant to look like a flashback, but it's
actually the future. Whenever she thinks
about her daughter in the movie, she's
seeing the future. But they don't hint at
that till the very end. Stupid dumb movie.

I think you watched more than half of it. As I recall, they didn't fully crack the language until the movie was nearly over.

I watched all of it. She goes from
not understanding it, to speaking
it like a native. With no explanation
as to how she did it. Did she find
a Rosetta Stone and not tell anybody?

And their whole purpose in being here
is to teach us their knowledge because
in 3000 years they will need our help?
They can see 3000 years into the future
because they don't live on a linear
plane.

This is what is so flawed with seeing
the future. Once you see it, you can
change it and then it's no longer
the future.

It pissed me off they went the route
of the 50's sci/fi. It's from outer space,
we don't know why it's here, let's
blow it up. There is no way this would
happen in real life unless there was
aggression from the spaceship.

It's the Lib Left movie makers and their
utter disdain for the military. They
have one mindset, destroy everything.
That's not the truth at all.
