Jeann Louise Coleman is more of the pretty girl next door.

Yeah, I'm wondering if the place next door is available. Maybe I should move there.

Just saw a movie I never heard of with Redford and
Natalie Wood. This Property is Condemned. 1966.
Stellar supporting cast, Sydney Pollack director.
Beautifully shot and acted, from a Tennessee Williams
story. Screenplay by Francis Ford Coppola.

Too bad it sucked horribly. Supposed to be 1932,
but they used 1960's music and camera techniques.
But what ruined it was, it was a typical T Williams
downer story. Dumbass hillbilly Southerners who's
goal in life is drinking, sex, screaming at each other,
and conning everybody. The only saving grace was
Natalie, who was ravishing. It looked like a happy
ending was apparent, 4 min to go in the movie. But
I knew better, this was T Williams. With 3 min to go,
Natalie drops the bombshell that she can't marry
Redford because she's already married, and she runs
off into the rain, never to be seen again. We learn
she got TB a year later and died from it. I LOL because
I saw it coming a mile away. Typical cornball Williams
ending.

I don't know about that movie, but some works don't translate well in other mediums. Or they haven't been rewritten successfully for the screen.

Faulkner writing about hicks can be corny crap too. Often [I won't say always] you get no sense they like these people, they can paint them as devoid of any redeeming qualities.

Finally saw "Streetcar" a few weeks back. I really think I want to read the play for myself, I have some questions about the film portrayals and what Williams really wanted.

My favorite Williams movie is "Night of the Iguana" ... if it is a play too, I have only seen the movie.

It was a short story written in 1948. Williams turned it into a Broadway play that opened on December 28, 1961, and ran for 316 performances.
He was so famous that it only took a few years to adopt it into a movie. The publicity surrounding the shooting of the movie put Puerto Vallarta on the map as a potential vacation destination. Richard Burton and elizabeth Taylor owned a home in the city for decades.

In 2005 a London production at Lyric Theatre starred Woody Harrelson as Rev. Shannon, Clare Higgins as Maxine and Jenny Seagrove as Hannah. This production was directed by Anthony Page.

She can certainly do a sexy photo-shoot, but usually her image is sweet and charming.

Natalie Wood was the only reason to watch Condemned.
She had a worse Hollywood mother than Shirley Temple
did. She made 15 yr old Natalie have sex with producers and
people like Frank Sinatra so she would get auditions for
parts. In the mid 50's it wasn't anywhere near as big a
deal as it is now.

I understand that now the "casting couch" is the domain of females anyway.

Thanks For Sharing. Mark Ruffalo, Gwyneth Paltrow,
Tim Robbins. Very good. I cared about all the characters
by the end, not an easy feat. Plus, we get to see Gwyn's
bare butt several times, never a bad thing.

I don't know if anyone has put up the movie "Baja1000" the entire movie is 2-3 hours long narrated by Peter Coyote, great movie.

This is a short clip.

If I was to start a bucket list, going down and watching the 1000 would be on it.
