Aer Lingus Regional Boosts Travel Options from Leeds Bradford Better connections to North America via Dublin Aer Lingus is not part of an alliance as it left Oneworld on 31 March 2007. However, the prices may be better than an Alliance airline. |

Just looked at this. I work on Sabre. They haven't loaded the flights in but if I go to sabre EI direct access I see them. May be difficult for me to book, EI NYC to Dub gets in early enough to make the connection but EI ORD to Dub gets in too late to make the connection. I like to stay with the big carriers, more alternatives if a pax misses a flight or miss connects or flight cancled. The USA is probably going to get a 10th city with population over 1 million this year. NYC, LA, Chic, Hou, Phil, Phnx, San Antonio, San Diego, Dallas, + San Jose Of course Detroit formerly had a population of well over 2 million, and has lost 2/3 of it's population. Baltimore never broke 1 million. Canada has 3 (Toronto, Montreal, Calgary), and Mexico has 10 (2 are portions of Mexico City urban area). But it's hard to get used to the fact that there are literally hundreds of cities in Asia with population over 1 million. |

There are over 50 metropolitan areas over a million people, and roughly 40 urban areas in the USA over a million people. But only 10 cities. Atlanta is a relatively small city surrounded by a top 10 urban area. Same goes for Miami, Boston, and Seattle. |

That probably explains Vancouver not being on the Canada city list then as well. Richmond, New Westminster, Delta and the North shore cities are seperate. It is said that your life flashes before your eyes just before you die.... it's called Life |

Pacomartin Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 1068 Posts: 12569 | I expanded this table to show Emirates airlines in contrast to the USA fleet.
Emirates has 200 B777's on order compared to USA airlines 6 B777's. So within two year's their fleet should exceed USA "without the 767". The effect of long haul flight between Europe and Asia + Oceania has been dramatic. The East Coast Northern America to Asia via Dubai is increasingly becoming popular. Emirates in addition has it's eye on USA to Europe flights. Some of the flights from NYC to Dubai now include a stop in Milan. You can purchase a ticket just from NYC to Milan on Emirates. |
