No nation reveals its full capability unless it is to their advantage to do so, or is part of an agreement. Evil régime or not, expectations to do what no one else does is a silly argument. This is because Iran requires a toll to be paid in unusual means, and requires as escort and approval from their navy. But, even larger, insurance companies are still not allowing it because of the uncertainty. So the straight is effectively still closed. |
