It is possible there will be someone stupid enough to compliment Shumer for his using his constituents as pawns for his political hissy fit.

And it is possible there will also be someone stupid enough to blame the Republicans claiming they control all phases of government who is unaware of the Senate filibuster rules?

Does DT have two people that stupid?

Republicans control all branches of govt
Those with DDS blame Dems
The Save act is to blatantly disenfranchise millions of voters so Trump doesn't lose the midterms
Those with DDS support this bill because they can't deal with pissed off Americans
Republicans want to remain in power forever
Dems are fighting for democracy
Due to DDS, Soopoo against democracy

BREAKING: A Republican senator just confirmed what many people suspected about the TSA shutdown.

Senator John Kennedy admitted that TSA workers could already be getting paid, but Trump personally told Republicans not to make a deal with Democrats. Kennedy said, “He said ‘No deals with the Democrats.’ We could have had TSA paid by the end of the week. But the President said ‘No deal.’”

That means this shutdown isn’t about negotiations breaking down or Congress being stuck. According to a Republican senator, the deal was there. The votes were there. The funding could have happened.

It was stopped on purpose.

So TSA agents are working without pay, airports are dealing with delays and staffing problems, and millions of Americans are dealing with the consequences — not because a deal was impossible, but because the White House didn’t want one.

This isn’t dysfunction.
This is a decision.

Exactly, GOP blocked several funding proposals that would make TSA get paid. 100% GOP's fault TSA is not getting paid.

That being said, I just came back into the country a couple hours ago, and everything at both customs, and TSA went smoothly in Miami. And, I had no issue last week with TSA leaving either. So, I personally have no experienced these crazy lines that we keep hearing about.

I think the Dems should hold firm if GOP is not willing to break down the funding. I am willing to wait in a slightly longer line if it comes to that, to ensure a principled stance.
