It’s more his TDS showing than his childishness. Blaming or applauding a president for a day of stock market gains or losses is a fool’s errand. In the year since Trump was elected the S and P 500 is up about 18%. Despite people like terapined and MrV (the forum’s ostriches) not seeing the brightness of not having a Democrat stifling the economy. Many wasteful programs ended (eg. DEI). Tariff revenue soaring. Have there been bumps in the road due to Trump’s instability? Absolutely! But that’s better than the additional ‘stable’ trillions Harris would have spent while hamstringing innovation and big business in general.

Funny how the economy has been better when Democrats were in the White House versus when A Republican in the White House, ever years since 1992.

Give me a stable President with a better economy any day of the week, and twice on Sunday.

Fortunately you don’t have one. And won’t for at least 3 more years. You can believe the economy would have been better with Harris. You can also believe in Unicorns. No one can stop you.

Trump Bump: Black Friday spending soars as 2025 poised to be first quarter trillion dollar season

Quote:
Black Friday spending surged this year to new highs, fueled by record-breaking online spending that reached $11.8 billion on Black Friday alone, according to market data.

Online sales made on Black Friday made up about 10% of total sales for the month of November, more than $111 billion dollars, according to Adobe Analytics’s report on holiday shopping trends. This represents a 9.1% increase in online sales compared to last year. Adobe tracks over 1 trillion U.S. retail site visits

Adobe predicts that the 2025 holiday season, which continues through Christmas, is poised to become the first quarter trillion dollar season online in U.S. history. The firm forecasts that a record $253.4 billion will be spent on online purchases this year.
I'm shocked I tell you, I'm shocked. HOW CAN THIS BE????

The "Trump economy" is in shambles, there is runaway inflation, the tariffs are ruining businesses, the market is crashing, the sky is falling, etc etc.

From axios.com:
Quote:
Walmart recently raised its outlook for the year, and the National Retail Federation expects this to be the first $1 trillion holiday season.

Since it's online I suspect shoppers incurred massive new debt on credit cards.

"I owe, I owe, it's off to work I go..."

TDS. So the economy is humming and you play the ‘it must be credit card debt’ driving it card? That’s all you’ve got? If sales were down would you be complimenting Trump on consumers smartly eschewing credit card debt?

If you are just going to troll at least try harder.

I simply said that I suspect that they put the debt on their credit cards, which of COURSE they did...online shopping.

Perhaps some use debit cards, but I suspect most use credit cards.

I said nothing about Trump in my post, wise guy: get a grip.

I can't say when they'll pay it off: most Americans aren't able to pay off their credit card debt monthly so they carry a balance, ergo "I owe, I owe..."

Please, I challenge you to show me the error in my post as well as where my post shows TDS.

tick ... tick ... tick ...

The economy is likely booming for Black Friday because when people are trying to stretch every dollar, they always shop sales. Why would they wait until afterward?

Like my neighbor when I was a kid. Only the dad worked and although he made fairly good money, it was not much for six kids and stay at home wife. The mom was always budgeting; the kids all wore hand-me-downs, but they never went without gifts for Christmas.

Another lousy day on the stock market: will this yo-yoing never cease?
