I do feel sorry for some of them. There's a couple that has cats that has 5 million followers on YouTube and 3 million on tiktok and they gave a tearful goodbye to tiktok on Saturday. Then they were back on Sunday with a, oh look, we're back already, video. Pretty funny.

Bro, you were just saying you never used TikTok and did not even know anyone who was, and now you know the publishing schedule of some random cat channel?

That's because they also have channels on YouTube and they talk about tiktok.

Lots of TikTokers also have YT channels and do FB reels to diversify their reach and social media income.

Attracting viewers to sell time to advertisers would be a real job.

I thought you were a lawyer? Did you ever have a real job? (Teasing).

I hate when I read an obituary on some young person…. and it lists their occupation as ‘influencer’.

Quote:
The word influencer finds reference in the English philosopher Henry More, who describes a figure of power in the religious sphere, in his book A Modest Inquiry Into The Mystery of Iniquity, from 1664. It is a composition governed by the verb to influence, given in Latin as influĕre, composed of the prefix in-, from within, and the verb fluĕre, to flow, from the base given by the Indo-European *bhleu, to sprout or to flow. In the context of the Internet, it started to develop at the beginning of the 21st century, as a phenomenon that was born naturally with the advancement of the global presence of social networks.

An influencer is a person who creates a trend, who is capable of guiding others who follow him or her on social networks. Because this is the medium we are referring to, the Internet, and more specifically social networks. This influence translates into ways of dressing, things he uses and activities he does, which are copied or mimicked by a significant part of his followers.

So the commies appropriated another word, so what. 90% of the so-called influencers that I see on YouTube don't influence anybody to do anything. And you can see that the word puzzles them because they're too dumb to realize they're not influencing so they constantly try to find ways to improve on it. Which makes them look like even bigger idiots.
