Word of the end (or beginning) of the day.

Cantilevered.

Gladys Kravitz: What's the door doing here?
Darrin Stephens: It leads to another room.
Gladys Kravitz: Over the front lawn?
Darrin Stephens: Cantilevered.
Samantha Stephens: We're adding a nursery.
[Mrs. Kravitz opens the door and there is nothing there]
Gladys Kravitz: The room hasn't been built yet.
Gladys Kravitz: You mean, you put a door in the wall first?
Samantha Stephens: How else would we get into the room to build it?

Thanksgiving is the day when Americans set aside all their differences and come together to root against the Dallas Cowboys.

Except in Dallas. I don't know what they do for Thanksgiving in Dallas.

Grew up in Baltimore so during the heyday of the classic Cowboys Washington rivalry, always rooted against Washington.
One my favorite games was the so called Thanksgiving Day massacre when backup Dallas QB Clint Longely had the game of his life.

How old do you have to be to know why there is no key for the number '1' on an old typewriter, yet all the other numbers are right there?

I don't know what age, but it would be something pointed out in the first day of a typing class back in the day. I assume you know the reason already.

I don't know if this is still true.

The longest word that can be spelled on a single row on a typewriter is:

"typewriter" is the longest word that can be spelled on the same row of a typewriter.

I think you could stump a fair percentage of Millennials and I'm not sure we have any at this site!

in case there are some here stumped, maybe we should say

on an old typewriter like the one rxwine shows, use the lower case L key to type the number 'one'
