China is slowly making allies where the US isn't.

Let them. Syria has never been an ally and never will be

Let them fill it. Let China waste their bold and treasure there.

Chinas treasure is diminishing day by day. They will be a broken country in 20 years or less.

Not our problem. Syria s no threat to USA interests. We need to get out of the nation building business.

It can be a threat depending on how the new government forms (I personally think this should have been handled 10 years ago in 2014.) But, nation building is the most honorable action that a country can do. It shows that you put others before yourself.

Hard to see how Sryia can threaten USA interests much less the USA. We have done enough of the nation-building. It doesn't work. The closest it has come to working might be South Korea, which took 40+ years and has ended up a now collapsing society. We have our own problems to deal with. To fix Syria it would have to be colonized for 50 years or more.

We did pretty good with Japan and Germany but those were over 70 years ago. The main thing with Syria is just the amount of terrorist supported mainly by Iran.

Neither Japan nor Germany were motivated by unkillable gods that can be praised whether you're winning or losing.

We didn’t “build” either of them. Japan mostly rebuilt itself. It and Germany were both functioning nations just 6 years before. Syria has no such history.

You mean "motivated by a superstitious, unfounded, unproven faith-based culture-wide belief in..."

Mohammad like Jesus was just a man, nothing more, and the "religions" which followed in their name have foundations based on sand.

Get rid of religion in politics and maybe humanity will finally "get" somewhere worth arriving at.

Come on. The worst regimes out there are atheist regimes. Enough with the hate talk already.

No "hate talk" here: simply plain speaking of The Truth.

The USA is, ostensibly non-sectarian and arguably an atheist regime, except even here religion raises its nasty head in politics.

Great, if religion wants to be a PLAYER then make em be a PAYOR and remove their income tax exemption.
