Not just Texas: with the oaf shit-canning a chunk of the federal workforce there will be many thousands of former government employees desperate to work at picking crops, hanging sheetrock, cooking in restaurants and mowing lawns. What a smooth move...DJT, the "savior" of America... Or not. |

While I don’t predict any Great Depression, when someone tells me the stock market is roaring as a single indicator that everything is going great, it’s obvious there are counterfactuals. Roaring 20s roared right into ground. I don’t predict anything actually. Inflation is highest since January reported today, but it’s under expectations so stocks went up. If Trump is affecting inflation, then he’s still going the wrong direction. Someone can explain why that is so making America great again. Quit with the snarky shit: my point is that the oaf is killing two birds with one stone: curbing illegal immigration AND the federal work force. Of course the gaps will not be filled properly but hey, what does he care, so long as his ugly mug is on the nightly news and his insipid tweets are published online. |

Quite the opposite. I asked this question a decade or so ago here. If a politician said ‘Do to American ingenuity Joe’s Widget Manufacturers instead of needing 200 workers to make 1,000,000 widgets only needs 100 workers!’ Democrats think that’s bad. I think that’s good. What do you think? That JWM is in business to make widgets or provide jobs? |
