Updating all official signs, emblems, and plaques worldwide would be a significant expense.
Changing uniforms, email addresses, websites, and vehicles.

Wasting an estimate of millions of taxpayer money for the Orange idiot.

Well, Buttigieg actually did serve, and in a war zone. And what's your definition of machismo? Grabbing women by the pussy? SAing a wife? Serial infidelity? Lying almost every time he speaks? Inquiring minds want to know!

Calling it the Department of War? For what reason? What wars are we starting? What wars are we in? To quote John Quincy Adams, "She [America] goes not abroad in search of monsters to destroy". The US doesn't start wars,; we seek to end them. We don't attack without provocation, we counter-attack. Our military serves as national defense, not national offense. Even the preamble to the Constitution states its goal is to "provide for the common defence". Renaming the DOD into the Department of War? It's just meaningless performative nonsense of the highest order, just as bad as renaming the Gulf as the Gulf of America.

Yeah, I should not have included Buttigieg. His military service does give him a leg up on certain politicians who avoided service. But I do think Trump deserves some kudos for surviving the assassination attempt and forging on without missing a beat. The second foiled attempt also didn’t slow him down.
