Here's why the CC industry needs to be regulated.

Previously, they did things like add inactivity fees.

So, if you're running the CC business do you A: eliminate the inactivity fee to compete with companies that do, or B: lower the cost of the fee but don't remove it?

Because B is what the CC companies did with most things they came up with.

We could call such fees, "nominally useless unnecessary actions which you can charge customers for"

I mean why remove a new way of charging more altogether, when everyone can make money from it? You and your competitors can just throw the ball back and forth and make more money.

I have no problem with that as long as they give the consumer ample notice so they can cancel if they choose.

It was the government who forced the labeling of price per ounce on products at the grocery store. I think such government force is a great thing and Trump is still an idiot for killing a consumer agency designed to prevent fraud and abuse.

That was also the government that forced cc companies to give ample time in various notices not the will of the CC companies.

Trump is an elephant. At least as far as remembering who dissed him, and getting back at them! Decades ago he was denied a chance at ownership of an NFL team.

Apparently he is proposing some sort of tax increase directly aimed at the NFL owners. That’s a trillion in net worth of a few dozen guys. This is a funny one! The AOC’s, Sanders’, Jeffries of the political world will have to come out in support of a Trump tax proposal!

If he does it right this will work out. My suggestion would be a tax on the subsidized lease rates they are getting at too many stadiums. It is getting worse as 30 years seems the new lifetime for them. Say it costs $1.5 billion to build, pretty close to average lately. Break that out over 30 years and then calculate what the lease would be over various commercial properties. Say something that gives an landlord a 6% cap rate. Hard to find comps since stadiums are unique, so that formula kind of works. Then take what they are actualy paying. Any subsidy is taxed as normal income at the corporate rates.

Nobody likes these stadium deals, most people really hate them. Let the Democrats come out against it.

More organized crime and no action.

After awhile of seeing this taxpayer theft reported with zero arrests, I have to wonder about a few things.

FEMA funds diverted:

Yes, that was a huge lie by the Biden administration.

Funds were diverted from almost every part of the federal government to maximize the number of illegals in America.

There also appear to be significant funds siphoned from Social Security to pay for illegals.

WASHINGTON − President Donald Trump signed an executive order Monday evening pausing enforcement of a federal law that makes it a crime for U.S. businesses to bribe foreign officials, saying that the law puts companies at a disadvantage on the global stage.

Oops, looks like you left out some relevant information:

Quote:
The new order is aimed at restoring American economic competitiveness by having Bondi draw up "revised, reasonable enforcement guidelines” for the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977, according to a White House fact sheet obtained by USA TODAY.
....

"American national security depends on America and its companies gaining strategic commercial advantages around the world, and President Trump is stopping excessive, unpredictable FCPA enforcement that makes American companies less competitive," the fact sheet said.

The White House fact sheet also said U.S. companies "are harmed by FCPA overenforcement because they are prohibited from engaging in practices common among international competitors, creating an uneven playing field."

I'm not sure if that makes it better.

So company A gets more lucrative contracts more often because it offers bigger bribes to some politician than Company B, Okay,,,

But maybe company A has been using shoddy construction practices and cutting corners.

15 - 20 years later.,, because of corrupt people working together... Not sayin' just sayin' Birds of a feather flock together and all.
