It’s not complicated. I want the businesses to offer wages they want to! And if they are too low and people won’t work for those low wages then guess what, they will need to raise those wages. The rightwing has a put a weird formula together. If we assume the least responsible least prepared people are going to be forced to have the child they didn’t want because abortion is more impossible to get, work a job designed for non-livable wage, either forcing the couple into poverty while the woman stays home, or forcing them into latch-key kids because the mom has to work, thus possibly raising the next drop-out or delinquent, producing the crime the right complains about creating a fewer success stories, filling our jails, except for the lucky or exceptional,.,.,. And so forth. And this is why the right pushes these people to get religion, because you have to believe in miracles and supernatural beings because of this stupid formulation.

Employers are free to offer as high a wage as they want, and as low as they want to a minimum wage. That isn't complicated, either.

Simple answer. If you cannot afford kids then don't let yourself get pregnant. To avoid poverty in the USA:

1. Finish high school
2. Do not have kids before you get married
3. Avoid drugs

Do those two and your chances of living in poverty go down to almost zero. And you can do them all without whining about "the Republicans!"
