I'm starting to think there are a bunch of these people who see that once they gender-transition they become immune to criticism about their bad behavior and keep ratcheting it up until they kill somebody ... in this case, easy to believe they had no other interest in gender change but wanting this special treatment

Imagine you're back in a high school and there is one kid who is isolated, ostracized, excluded by many because of the way he looks.

You don't become his friend, but you treat him at least like a human being unlike most in the class.

He shows up in your classroom with a gun. Are you more likely to be shot or less likely than the others?

I don't know what the answer will be every time, but I know what I think it will more likely be.

I agree that a trans-woman who is actually attractive as a female is unlikely to go berserk and exhibit any kind of bad behavior. I even think that some, as adults, rightly decide they might as well live life as a woman! Not kids though, and I think the need to undergo surgery is also questionable.

Can't you see that I am totally suspicious of the motives of a lot of these people, I think a lot of them are attracted to the idea of changing gender because of all the wrong reasons... while not actually ever thinking they were more female than male. This guy could be a poster child for that type person, something tells me, though I know nothing about him other than what I have gathered in a few minutes this morning.

I compare this to making Odiousgambit go through all his young life having to wear female clothes and project himself as a girl which is what I believe trans kids are feeling when they are forced into opposite-ville.

I assume you think they are just being brainwashed and confused and don't think they really suffer that much. I don't know, but I feel like it's similar to beating left handers for not being righthanded.

I do prefer professional medical evaluation though.

It has an element of " new" to it to me. Violent people who are just bad actors looking for trouble are going transgender now. In the past, anybody who went as far as crossdressing to satisfy dysphoric gender feelings was someone who was, well, just that. Now I think there are mentally ill, violent people who are glomming on to it. They are discovering that this is a new, effective, perversely acceptable way to just cause a general uproar and get away with it
