I too hope those who did have learned their lesson However, I have a feeling Musk's rewriting history. I don't think he's outright antisemitic , just careless with the mild bigotry that a non-Jew tends to absorb I'm Still Standing, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah [it's an old guy chant for me] |

The simple answer is that he is a scammer who makes endless false promises. He pumps up his own value to grow his brand. He is also a massive hypocrite. Though a lot of the resentment is due to the fact of how loud the Elon worshippers are (and this is not hyperbole, I think it was last year that his fans were rated the most obnoxious.) Personally I don't have an issue with Twitter (never used it and never will regardless of who owns it, and the owners can ban and unban who they want.) And, I think Tesla is decent (though the stock is massively overvalued due to deception), but these are probably his less controversial associations. |

He posted homophobic, conspiracy theories when Paul Pelosi was attacked. He amplified anti-Jewish writings on X (formerly Twitter) and has openly called for euthanasia of the autistic. When Elon tells you who he is, listen to him. |

Most people are hypocrites; I'm probably a hypocrite, from time to time, despite my attempts to avoid that. What are some of these, 'False promises?' He owns multiple companies, so I would very much expect him to overhype to the point of outright lying. If nothing else, I'd give him credit because, unlike those pu$$!3$ sitting in board rooms all day, he's willing to put his name on his bullcrap. If his fans are Conservatives, then they probably outright encourage the above, so that's why they're seen as annoying. I don't encourage it, but I definitely expect it. In any event, the market will decide; I don't think people should buy Teslas anyway. Of course, it's a status symbol vehicle and a, "Look at me, I care about the environment!", proclamation all rolled up into one. And, much like you're claiming about Elon Musk, those people are hypocrites and will likely continue to buy Teslas as they continue to claim about Musk. I'm going to ask you to prove your case on the calling for euthanasia. I'll take your word for the rest. I assume by, "Amplified anti-Jewish writings," you're referring to what has already been quoted. In terms of the first accusation, I have no idea what passes for homophobia these days; I imagine that there are people out there who would call me a homophobe because I've never been intimate with a man and wouldn't even entertain doing so. I stand corrected. He wants to sterilize the autistic. His public posts about Paul Pelosi are easily available for your perusal. |

I don't care about Paul Pelosi. I don't care about Nancy Pelosi. As long as he didn't advocate for violence, he can say whatever he likes about political figures. Does he want to do that by way of forced sterilization? There's a case to be made that it might be better for autistic people, or people with other conditions with strong correlations/statistics that point to genetic heritability would do well to choose not to reproduce. Their spawn are more likely to require additional resources (compared to others) that come at a non-zero cost. Of course, sterilization should never be forced. Also, if the Government did not provide healthcare to anyone whatsoever, it similarly would make no difference and I probably wouldn't encourage anyone to behave in either direction. He can indeed say whatever he wishes, within the bounds of established law. But he is not free from consequences. In the marketplace of ideas, there are buyers and sellers. And the only person responsible for people starting to not buy what Elon is selling is Elon himself. |

I've no great interest in Elon Musk, and even less in Tesla's automobiles, so I have already decided. I'll say this: I pay him significantly less attention than the people who claim to hate him seem to. "War is the remedy that our enemies have chosen..let us give them all they want." William T. And yet, here you are... He has some innovating ideas on curing some of the world's technical problems. Social problems? Not so much. |
