America's next president, Robert Kennedy Jr:

'Border Crossers Destroying Farmland, Threatening U.S. Food Supply'

'I met with local farmers Cory Mellon, Alex Mueller, Hank Auza, and Robert Barkley in Yuma, Arizona. Yuma County provides 90% of the green leafy vegetables, like iceberg lettuce, arugula, spinach, and broccoli, to American tables between November and April. The tsunami of migrants walking across farm fields and defecating in irrigation canals threatens the safety of that food supply. Last year, one of their neighbors had to plow under 88 acres of broccoli and personally absorb the $10k per acre cost after migrants tainted irrigation water.'

Are you willing to bet on that?

I don’t make political bets but this one seems like a slam dunk for anyone who’s willing to pony up.

I will be in Augusta Georgia in September. I will be doing some networking (and bribing) to see if I can find someone to let me golf with them at Augusta National. I had tickets to a Master's practice round back in the 90's but couldn't even get a ticket to the tournament for a real round.

Around 20-25 years ago I was ‘invited’ to play a round at Augusta. My group was doing business with a company based in Augusta. A (shameless) member would take me and two others I would ask to join me and all I had to do was slip him $7500. I think the $7500 included 3 lunches but not caddy tips. Before I knew how much it would cost I had decided I’d pay up to $1k. Then there would have been travel, hotel, etc…. So if it was $2500 then it’s gotta be $5k now!

I didn’t go. I’ve played a few of the PGA tour quality courses and to me they are only a little better than the ones I play here.

What type of area was this
Maybe these were terrible business decisions. I would never ever shop at Nordstrom's. It's overpriced crap. I just buy what I need and Walmart does just fine for me. Was this Nordstrom or Whole Foods in a ritzy area with lots of high end foot traffic?????? If it wasn't, terrible business decision. Times have changed. A lot of people used to work downtown. That's not the case anymore. Foot traffic is down in all cities that used to have a high concentration of office workers. Whole foods will never cut it in a blue collar area. We don't want 50 varietys of obscure cheeses. Give me Aldis and cheap prices with a tiny selection.
No doubt Whole Foods and Nordstrom made terrible business decisions on where to open a business and their blaming game is pure BS

Park Hotels and Resorts must be poorly managed as well. NOT

"Park Hotels & Resorts, one of the nation's largest hotel real estate investment trusts, is pulling out of two hotels in downtown San Francisco, saying it lacks confidence in the city's ability to overcome "major challenges."

Park Hotels said that it has stopped making payments toward a $725 million loan backed by two of its San Francisco properties, the 1,921-room Hilton San Francisco and the 1,024-room Parc 55 San Francisco. "

Yawn
All businesses downtown in all cities are suffering.
The business ain't there anymore as more and more work from home
Office vacancy rate in San Francisco is 30%
That's the challenge
Hotels are not big crime targets like retail. You can't shoplift a hotel room :-)

You certainly are consistent TP you totally ignore or are blind to anything that doesn't fit your world view. Park hotels didn't say in all large cities, they are closing San Francisco and in my quote above "saying it lacks confidence in the city's ability to overcome "major challenges." The 30% vacancy rate isn't a reason it just another symptom of the problem with management of the city.

You are consistent in your obsession with an American city that you don’t live in or have any interests in.

But you are not alone, it’s a rightie thing.

I had a few Tecate's recently. I think that is now my favorite Mexican beer surpassing Dos Equis.
