When I had the bar my bartenders made enough money in tips every month to pay all bills except for rent. Groceries, utilities, gas, tips paid for it all. They didn't think it was stupid at all not to have to pay taxes on their tips. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

You were wrong. It includes public schools. Which is why I used Sandy Hook public elementary as an example where a warrant was not necessary.

They do. Which is why I linked to the article which says they do.

I mentioned, Law enforcement has 'license and privilege' to enter a premises without a warrant if they believe a crime has been committed, is or is in progress.

You cited this as a poor statement of exigent circumstances. How’s that? An exigent circumstance is something that requires immediate action. A crime in progress requires immediate action.

The description of an exigent circumstance which you copied and pasted from this source is a long version what I posted.

True story.

Police Officer Dave, lived in a Bronx apartment building. He noticed his neighbor’s door was damaged and forced open. With probable cause to believe a crime was possibly in progress, he entered the apartment and found two men burglarizing the place. There was a shootout. Dave subdued both burglars, who were wanted for five homicides.

Dude I have no idea what circular logic you are getting at. Allow me to cut to the chase: ICE needs a warrant or permission from the school to enter a school to detain any suspected illegal immigrants. Sandy Hook, Uvalde or Officer Dave have nothing to do with it.

I am not going to split hairs with you about exigent circumstances or not. Being an illegal immigrant does not exigent circumstances make. And I am STILL waiting from anything from you or anyone else to prove me wrong.

I completely agree with you.

Do you know why he originally proposed no tax on tips? He was getting an earful from a waitress from a Vegas restaurant who was getting taxes taken out of her paycheck. The restaurant she works at was caught by the IRS NOT taking taxes out and their servers were caught by the IRS under reporting tip income. So the IRS required the restaurant to take out estimated payroll taxes and the servers don't like it.

So the idea has its genesis from a business that was caught cheating on their taxes. Like other GOP this one is also designed to benefit the corrupt.

This idiotic idea was bipartisan. Kamala was for it as well.

You keep mentioning ICE needing a warrant. IT WASN’T ICE that was trying to gain access to the school! That was the point of my post a thousand pages back that started this. It was the Secret Service.

As a general concept, I like the idea of our local authorities trying to aid our federal authorities in stopping crime, arresting those that have committed them, deporting those here illegally, etc….
Democrats want criminals out on the streets easier due to ‘no bail’ rules, and want to hinder federal authorities from deporting those here illegally.

It’s maybe the biggest reason you have to say ‘President Trump’ instead of ‘President Harris’.

I had this discussion with someone. I am not for it because it is indeed income. Yes, the waitress may be walking miles on her shift while I sit at a desk. But do we want to be a society where we say, "tax these guys over here, but don't tax these guys over there." (Yes, that is inspired by Mr. Pink.)

Besides Kamala, Democrats have no ground to stand on when they criticize it. I can remember at least twice in CA where some Dem pol suggested teachers not have to pay state income tax. No intelligent reason given, just that they are........teachers. Both times it was really a trial balloon that got shot down as fast as it went up. But the point is Democrats who criticize it have no purity on the issue.

The rightwing gets a boner over deporting people. Prices won't go lower, and salaries won't go up because of it. That's the real #1 issue.
