I am sure he hates JFK as JFK cut taxes for the rich. The President is a fink. |

Trump might want to donate to his new home: the prison system. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revenue_Act_of_1964 A family could frugally raise 15 children in those days off of one person's salary, albeit struggling. Now, two are struggling to raise one child, if they are able to stay fertile in time because of age. I want Starbucks. |

DoubleGold Member since: Jan 26, 2023 Threads: 30 Posts: 2506 | But Maryland is pretty close to DC. ----------------- Brandon Straka WINS Huge Lawfare Case Brought Against Him by DC Police and a Far Left Non-Profit Law Firm Dec. 18, 2023 . . . Brandon Straka was accused of violating the KKK Act and engaged in a white supremacist attack on black and brown police officers on January 6, 2021. The plaintiffs accused Brandon and other conservatives of causing their “injuries” (which included being pepper sprayed, and becoming “exhausted”) and conspired to encroach on their civil rights. During the discovery phase of the investigation Brandon’s attorneys discovered that none of the police officers were even on the side of the building he was on during his time at the Capitol and one of the plaintiffs was in Maryland at that time! . . . https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/12/2-5/ ---------------- |

I watched a video an interview on a college campus where he was asking student after student if the rich paid their fair share in taxes and 95% of them thought that the rich paid no taxes at all. None, zero, and they should be giving their money away to people poorer than them. The interviewer then showed them that in fact the top 1% in the United States pay 40% of the taxes and the students couldn't believe it. Because they're taught something else in college, they're lied to constantly. They are taught socialism where the rich people are all thieves who steal from the poor. Socialism has failed everywhere it's been tried but it's always flourished on college campuses where it's never been tried. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I knew families in the 1950s who had six or seven kids and the father worked in a factory and he supported the whole thing. Even owned the house they lived in and drove a car. The kids all wore hand me downs because that's just logical, but he did it. And it was not uncommon. Heck, my uncle was a factory welder and he had five kids and a wife that didn't work and owned a big house in the country and drove a nice used car. He would get paid on Friday, fill up his car with 22 cents a gallon gas, and give the rest of the money to his wife who managed the finances. We never even thought about it, that's just what people did. My mother worked but she wanted to work so we had a double income. But we also had two cars and nobody in those days had two cars. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I did a video slot machine called "Ambulance Chasers" about 25 years ago. The scatter pay gave you a random Lawyer joke and a random payout. The casinos thought it was too controversial so it was never released. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent. |

Lawyers might laugh at lawyer jokes but only if they're told by other lawyers. If they're told by the public they don't like it at all. I've been around enough lawyers to know that if you want to piss them off start telling lawyer jokes. They take what they do very seriously, ripping people off. And because we know they rip people off and make jokes about it it really makes them angry. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

One difference between now and then, was the outside information available. We use to have a bookmobile driver, like a milkman, and letter carrier. I read plenty of books but other than that, it was television and/or the newspapers, and then radio. I recall we had access to a public station and three main stations, all accessible with an antenna, but not good reception all the time. Those stations could all be controlled, as to the information distributed, to sway public opinion. Then came the internet which is very difficult to control. |
