There was a time, before the Rise of the Corporations, that Jews did control Hollywood, and the mafia did control sin city.

But those days are past.

It may be that many of the people toward the top of the Hollywood power tower are Jewish, but the ownership of corporations that hired them to create the product is not their exclusive domain.

That does not mean they do not still control it. If they are still in the positions that hire and greenlight they still control, does not matter that a corporation pays them.

I get a good laugh out of some of these people. Jump thru all kinds of hoops in the hope of loans being forgiven instead of just making the payments. Whining that they have to actually pay their loans back. Acting as though $30,000 of loans is the end of their world.

One of my favorites was a woman who said she "wanted her phd in literature (or similar)" then cried the blues because she owed over $100K in student loans! Dear, you wanted the degree, you got the degree. Pay for it!

Proof is look who is in the positions that have the power.

Nothing anti-Jewish about it. I have no problem with Jewish folks. They have hired me for many a gig and always nice folks. Adversity comes their way and they just overcome it again and again. Note you never see them crying for affirmative action to help them.

On “Saturday Night Live” last weekend, Dave Chappelle really wanted his audience to know there are a lot of Jews in Hollywood.
“I’ve been to Hollywood, this is just what I saw,” he said during his widely dissected monologue. “It’s a lot of Jews. Like, a lot.”
While suggesting that it might not be fair to say Jews run the industry, the comedian said that coming to that conclusion is “not a crazy thing to think.”

I've heard this all my life why would I think things have changed. I don't understand why it's anti-semitic to say this, I love the Jews I wish they ran everything. What would I possibly have against the smartest people on Earth running things. They always rise to the top of whatever profession they choose because that's what smart people do and the dumber people always resent it. Doctors, lawyers, the entertainment industry, who would you rather have in charge. My cataract surgery in April was done by a no-nonsense Jewish doctor and I was happy about it.

One of my best employees ever was a Jewish guy. Got out of Ukraine and spent 10 or so years in Israel. Followed his ex and his kid to the USA. Guy did anything you asked. He said Americans have no idea how easy we have it. He loved this country. Was impressed with how religious he thought we were (remember, he spent 10 years in Israel!) Said "Your country loves God and he loves your country!"

If I had 10 like him I could have just played golf all day.

That has always been a point of debate. They do get treated as one. They sometimes put being Jewish above and before any other ethnicity. You would never say "He's Catholic" about an Italian before Italian but you might say "He's Jewish" before saying someone is Polish. A few reasons for this exist, main one I can think of is Jews spread out from Israel over the centuries and were forced to stay mostly with their own.

One of my oldest friends is Jewish and I knew him for five years before I knew that. He changed his name when he went into business because it was too Jewish sounding. He's the son of a Jewish lawyer in New York City and was brought up in a really wealthy household where he had to dress for dinner everyday even as a kid in the 1940s. By that I mean he had to wear a suit for dinner and was not allowed to speak unless he was asked a question. He was extremely successful in business and invented several things that he patented that made him a lot of money. Funny guy, extremely smart, and I had no idea he was Jewish but then it all made sense. One thing he had in common with a lot of Jewish people was that he was a workaholic. He was so smart he skipped his senior year of high school and finished college in 3 years. Of course his pursuit of business made his private life a shambles but that has nothing to do with him being Jewish.

Funny stuff: I open the door and a flood of "But some of my best friends are Jewish" threads follow up.

Gotta wonder though how many Jewish gals y'all have banged: that is the acid test.
