Jurors take their jury oath very seriously, and are supposed to set those feelings aside. I speak from a small amount of experience as a juror once. We were a bunch of Joe Friday's-just the facts.

Trumpsters don’t care about stuff like that. They are loyal only to the sleepy, farty, cult leader.

My guess would be for a hung jury. Although Donny is clearly guilty as sin, I suspect there is at least one trumper in any jury, even in NYC.

I totally concur. If not a trumper, then a curmudgeon or contrarian or someone who's been 'got to' or hopes to be 'rewarded'

Chance of 12 jurors agreeing on the obvious guilty verdicts is slim to nil.

Oh hum. You tried.

Question...... About process..... Have the jurors been isolated from outside contact and media coverage for the entire trial duration?

Apparently, Trump doesn't want to play Hangman with his lawyer while waiting for a verdict.

Jury has sent a note out about testimony. Will be read to them. No clue what that means either way.

These are Manhattanites. Possibly two Upper East Side conservatives on the jury, but the ten other jury members will wear them down. Crime or no crime, chances of a conviction are 99%.

The jurors were not sequestered during the trial.

I did wonder.
"Judge Juan Merchan asked if they can disable the Wi-Fi capability on the laptop that the jury has. Prosecutor Susan Hoffinger said they'd look tonight and make sure it's off."

There are certain things that I thought were withheld from the jury so as to not influence them. E.g. The fact of $10,000 worth of fines for contempt, handed out while the jury were sent out. But that is common knowledge outside the testimony of the court. Also, not being isolated, they could hear and be influenced by any manner of social media and various statements and lies outside the court.

Again, jurors take their obligations seriously and would seek to avoid those activities and influences that would call in to question the integrity of their verdict. To speculate unfairly otherwise is to insult their reputations and their service. That being said, the judge did take away their cell phones during their deliberations.

In regards to circumstantial evidence.

If someone hires a guy who they know will be engaging in non-legal activities can we dismiss their culpability because they truly aren't told the specific illegal deed?

That would be sad if any of the jurors believe it's okay to dismiss the boss. If I hire a pilot who I know regularly takes a unauthorized nap during a flight, and there is crash because of that, it doesn't matter to me, if the boss didn't know when the unauthorized nap occurred. He's responsible because he knew the defect of his hire.

Or if you hired a surgeon who you know is drugged or drunk during surgery because he can't always control himself, it doesn't matter if you don't know when he might endanger or kills a patient, but when he does, you're at fault as you knew he was dangerous, not because you knew about the specific time he would kill a patient.

It's beyond the pale to believe Trump didn't know he was Hiring Cohen to do various illegal acts. I don't need to know that Trump even knew about the specific act. I believe he knew exactly who he was hiring and for what.

Although, the jury instructions aren't nearly as broad. Unfortunately. Trump apparently has to have known about this particular act. AFAICT.

The best thing that could happen to Trump is a conviction. He's even saying this without saying it. He wants to be convicted because everybody in the country knows this is the biggest sham trial in the last hundred years. Even CNN knows it. To be convicted would be 100 nails in the coffin of the Democrat Party. If it's a hung jury it'll be a ho-hum, who cares, forgotten about next week. I'm rooting for a conviction just like Trump is. Robert De Niro showing up with a script in his hand and piss pants Joe Biden saying he's going to give a speech after the jury makes their announcement is another 100 nails in the coffin. LOL
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.
